levon.mark Posted June 3, 2015 Share Posted June 3, 2015 So I finally bought the game (on disc.. 7 DVDs!) and was playing it yesterday. It ran fine on maxed out settings and played it for hours. Today I started to play it and it will play for about 20 minutes and then "GTA 5 will stop working" and it will crash. I tried turning down the graphics and still the same. You can tell when it is about to crash when the frame rate gets sticky. I can only find the tutorial to fix this problem when the game "stops working" at initial startup. Does anyone else experience this? Also, I am used to steam updating my games, but this game is not on my steam; is there anyway to check if this game needs to be updated ? levon.mark Posted June 3, 2015 Author Share Posted June 3, 2015 Ok I updated everything last night before I posted this as well. Since I have the original AMD Radeon 290 it gets fairly hot. I changed up the fan speeds to crank up high above 60* and it made it worse. Maybe my GPU done lol. hmm Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
