Gull-wing doors now but no Deluxo?...

A while ago I made a sort of design of what an updated deluxo could look like, anyway here is the coloured version. However I figured it should be more based on the Bricklin SV-1 with elements of the Delorean and another gull wing car the Bradley GTII. I also figured if it was to have a manufacture it would be SSA (a reference to sunshine autos the place you got the deluxo in Vice city), the deluxo logo itself is based off Vice City's logo:

 

I also like how both the Stirling and the Osiris will have gull wings it's sort of like how the dukes now has hideaway lights. Nice, little touches.

I'm also one of those who requested the return of the Deluxo, albeit blended with a newer car that was based on it (300zx), so hopefully it will come in part 2, in gullwing form of course:

If you knew DeLorean history you would know the company made two, 24K gold plated DeLorean DMC-12's for something to do with American Express. They were going to make 50 of these but sold only two. Another one of these gold DeLorean's was made as the last car DeLorean ever made in their main factory. Calling him a peasant for wanting to do that is stupid of you as the gold DeLorean's were the rarer, more expensive ones.

On topic...

I've been waiting since I was first graced with the reward of the Deluxo to see it again... It was by far my favorite car in Vice City...

But I don't want to see it come back as a DeLorean, weirdly enough. Its weird hybridized design made it a wonderful car on its own.

Yeah there were many great cars from VC but just like how the original Infernus had standard doors then the update version had Scissor doors, same applies here with the Deluxo. Since it is now known that Gull-wing doors are introduced into GTA Online I would've thought the Deluxo would've been remade since the real life counterpart Delorean is well known for it's Gull-wing door design. However for whatever reason Rockstar had they decided to release 2 completely new to the series cars despite the fact that they could've bought back this classic in a new updated version for the fans. Especially since GTA V is known for bringing back classics such as the Cheetah and Stinger, etc

Still the upcoming cars do look pretty badass!

Technically the real top speed for the Delorean was 85Mph, only 88 for the movies.

Also did you really need to mention another thread, cause I was thinking that this was related to the upcoming update regarding Gull-wing doors thus self creative topic?...

The Delorean for the move shooting had a Porsche engine. Much better than the Renault original.

 

You can even find engine swaps with Buick Grand Nationals. The Deluxo could be stretched as a Muscle Car like the Ruiner.

You know if Rockstar was to include it I'd hope it be as part of a vinewood themed dlc. Sort of what critierion did for Burnout Paradise with it's movie themed car dlc.

 

In that game they took the Jansen P12 and tuned it into a delorean look alike complete with burning fire trails and a hover mode.

I get where you're going with this - cars in GTA seem to take design cues from a variety of similar real-life cars. I like the 300ZX too so that wouldn't be a bad thing

 

On the other hand, If a 'mash up' design were to be made, I'd hope R* go 'full 80s' with any future Deluxo and use cars like the VW Scirocco to keep a retro feel - just my preference though. I'd drive a Scirocco for real if I could find a decent one that didn't cost the earth... and could afford the insurance
