The character would have to have depth and personality though, so the writers would have to try and avoid making him/her seem cliched. It could be interesting if done right. Only one person has actually said transgender. I think the rest mean transsexual but yes are probably making jokes too. Most female MP characters look transsexual or transvestite anyway. No matter how much I messed with mine to get her looking feminine, she still looks like she was born a man. I doubt we'll see a transgender character anytime soon; just as I doubt we'll see a female protagonist for the near future. Both would be fantastic in my opinion, but I do have doubts how that would be seen. Trouble is, there's a fine line between a good job and totally f*cking everything up. A well written trans character could be a success in my mind, but if they are written by people who don't understand the issues trans people face in modern society and how trans people act then it could be a massive flop. Additionally, R* would risk losing support from transphobic players. As much as it saddens me, I very much doubt that R* will make a trans protagonist. A major character in the storyline who is transgender would probably be more likely. Then again, you never know what they have up their sleeve! (R*, that is, not trans people) After seeing how Jimmy Townley threatened to molest his online friends throught the V story, I'm not too sure about it.
