Idea about blowing up personal vehicles

As many of you probably know, some people that love to get in a jet and grief people put all their money on a second character so that they do not lose money when they blow up personal vehicles. Many times, a bad sport warning just isn't enough to stop them. My idea is that if a person doesn't have enough funds to pay for the car, that their bank balance should go into the negatives. This would make storing money on a second character useless. What do you guys think about this idea?

I have always liked the idea of a debt system for it or something lol. But what's to keep them from just keeping cash on hand at all times to get away from that?

Seems like a lot of work to me but yeah, if they can't afford it they should go into debt.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure that there are many things in online that don't allow you to buy something unless you have money in your bank account, such as cars and other online purchases.

I don't know much about coding but I don't think that implementing a debt system in gta online could be that hard, could it? Edited by Delta8042

That idea was in GTA: San Andreas and it was pretty funny, the casino you'd owe money to sent some goons to shoot you if you didn't pay your debts. Some kind of system like that for griefers would be pretty useful.

Instead of increasing a debt it might be better to double the bad sport points you get. Send those dou$hes to the cooler so I don't have to play with them.

I don't think debt has a place in an online videogame. Besides it wouldn't make much difference, griefers would make new accounts all the time like they do now, negative balance be damned.

My idea is if you don't have money to pay for insurance and you blow up, say, 1 or 2 vehicles anyway, you should be placed into permanent passive mode until you have the $ to pay for those cars.

That's exactly the idea.

Why not just block them from joining anything but invite-only or solo sessions and forcing them to buy cash cards to pay off their debt? Tie it to IP address in order to make it harder for people who would just make a new account.

I don't actually see the problem with blowing up PV's. I've never had mine blown up more than once of twice a sessions, and rarely by the same person twice.

I've blown up my fair share of people trying to kill me from inside their car. And I don't think anyone should be punished for defending themselves.

I have had group of players trying to grief me though, at least once a week three or so players will team up and try to grief me. I just go into passive and lead them on a wild goose chase. I will lead them for two or three hours to annoy them, doesn't bother me.

Griefers are the same as bullies, they are always too chicked to operate alone.

Have fun getting all those high level toys if you make a new account LOL.

CarimboHanky

bad sport for PV destruction should only apply if the player dont have money to pay the insurance fee.
