Anyone who's interested in tech and the elite evil corporations that are taking over the world will love this. The pilot episode was better than most of the movies I've seen of late. It's about a vigilante hacker who works as at a cyber-security expert during the day. It's very gritty and realistic from the get go and I would safely say that everyone on these forums will love it as much as I did. Has such a good tone to it, definitely reminds me of Watch Dogs @Mr.Scratch, that's a good shout. Only problem is I have to wait a month now for the next episode. Voodoo Posted July 18, 2015 Share Posted July 18, 2015 I grabbed the first four eps and started watching this last week and it is really good. It's both ridiculous and amazing at the same time. Rami Malek is intense as the socially awkward, vigilante hacker lead and I love his droning inner monolog. It's reminiscent of Norton's in Fight Club. The first ep is extremely engaging and sh*t gets really dark after that. If you haven't been watching this, you should be. Also, Christian f*ckin' Slater. I forget who it was, but someone on the show mentioned how odd it was that the leader of the Dark Army, a hacker group motivated by the pursuit of wealth, would want to cause global economic ruin. From then on, it was quite clear that a double cross was in the works. Also, it was rather obvious when Elliot had asked White Rose why he was helping F-Society and he didn't respond. As for Tyrell, it would seem to me that Elliot did indeed murder him when Mr. Robot was in control, as evidenced by the video of Elliot being "pushed" off the pier. That was likely Mr. Robot's way of telling Elliot where Tyrell's body was. One thing that does confuse me is how unfazed the heads of Evil Corp. seem by the whole debacle. I mean, I know White Rose is on their side and likely has a plan that will ensure the company's survival, but what that is remains to be seen. Finally, the cliffhanger ending was likely the police coming to arrest Elliot. The douchebag and Elliot's therapist must have gathered enough evidence to prove Elliot had indeed been delving into illegal hacks.
