Do not let the sc install data, that removes any changes you made with open iv.

I recommend using a crack on the game if you just wanna play sp, because sc will always try to re download your files, and if you off line it will eventually ask you to go online to verify your account /:

Instead rename the current folder and do separate install if you want the vanilla game plus online

But how does everyone else install these mods ? I paid for the game, so would not really wanna use crack?

Scripthook works, i resolved this partly.

Heres what i did :

if you are being forced to UPDATE use this: Boot up the game and once you're in-game, go to task manager and close GTA V, it will then give you the option to go in safe mode or retry (Or it might ask you to sign in again), leave that menu open (Don't sign in yet if you got the option to sign in), now, install the water.xml (MOds) using the below instructions. Once you've done that, click retry (or sign in and it should launch).

I was dealing with this for a while and this is what I did and it was much simpler.

Launch the game in offline mode by turning off wifi, this prevents the game wanting to change the file. Then a day or two later when the game asks you to go online to verify your account, let the download start then cancel it, this way you fulfill the requirement of online verification, and you can keep playing offline.

Like I said I got tired of this and simply downloaded a crack so I wouldn't have to deal with all this verification bullsh*t. Then renamed the folder and reinstalled the game to have a separate unaltered copy with accessible online.

Just look for 3dm gta v update 5 crack v4.

Dont forget to rename your current folder if you wanna reinstall to have a working vanilla plus online copy.

Get th new version of OpenIV then create a folder named 'mods' in the install folder for gta. Next any RPF files that you will be modding need to be copied into the mod folder. Then open OpenIV, and make the changes to the RPF files in the 'mod' folder. Make sure to copy them exactly.

For example:

If I out need to update he Update.rpf file, make a folder in the mods folder called Update then copy the files from the original update folder in the gta v install directory there.

No need to go offline or block it through firewall!

open OpenIV then go to tools>ASI Manager, then uninstall ASILoader and OPENIV.ASI = that wil prevent the modded files from loading. then when you want to use them, go back to that same area, only choose to install them.
