Will this mission ever return?

It's a favorite of my friends and I.

If they bring it back it should have no f*cking time limit and able to be launched solo.

Why, and why? It was fine as it was. The time limit was not a big deal - each separate pickup had its own timer and all of them were generous. I did that mission at least ten times and never failed due to the timer.

Apparently there was some glitch with it. I do wish they'd bring it back, it's a fun one.

???? sh*t, I don't think I've ever played that mission. What did you have to do in it?

This mission would be one of the best missions in-game if the timer wasn't there.

R* place time limits to create frustration and animosity between random players.

The main reason why I played that mission about 5 times in total.

Still trying to figure out why the timer is such a big deal to you guys. I've done this mission a bunch and it was never a problem. You need to be a little efficient in your pick-ups, but the first and third ones are basically grab-and-go as long as you land in the right location, and the travel time between all of them is not that much. Again - never once failed this mission due to the timer, not even the first time I played it, and not even the couple of times I did it solo.

If you want to talk about nuisance timers, the final timer on Judging the Jury has made me want to punch a kitten on several occasions - especially when playing with nitwits or doing the mission solo (that's a mission that honestly should have a minimum player requirement of at least 2, because you literally cannot do the last part solo unless you're in an attack helicopter).

Get a helicopter from Trevor's airfield, fly it to a series of locations and pick up heavily-guarded packages. One is in an industrial area in the desert, one is in the Altruist camp, one is behind a gas station in the desert, and the last is in that industrial section on the east side of Los Santos.

When you went to the Altruists camp... Were they naked? Maybe that is why they removed the mission? You know how they are about online nudity. Lol

Hi LazerKing, thanks for your message. Due to the high number of people enjoying this particular mission, we removed it to avoid any further entertainment. Regards - Rockstar Support Team.

I believe it was removed because the timer wasn't resetting correctly between pickup's for certain

gamers or if it was being done with multiple players therefore causing mission fail.

Reckon it will come back with next week's update, I hope so, none of my in game friends liked

it much but I do.

I've only completed this mission once, but I think the timer is what makes it a great mission. Gives it that extra challenge and makes you play the game properly. It's the timer in GTA today that makes it good, if there was no timer it would any old crappy Simeon mission.

Back on topic a tip for pickup sticks when it returns that I found useful is get the Frogger Martin advises you to use then get the

other players to do the same and each fly to the next pickup point, that way you all do a package each and can get back to

the airfield in time.

The timer didn't make it impossible, it just made so you have to rush. Doing things tactically and safely takes prep and caution. Just not a fun mission because you have to get shot so much grabbing and dashing because of the limit.

It would be much more fun to clear the entire area first and move on.

What part of this mission's storyline forces the time limit? I don't even remember it making sense, it was just rush for the sake of making it harder....

I believe the idea of the timer was that the packages were due to be picked up by the suppliers in xx time so because you've

got their list you had a short space of time in which to get to the package first.

If it comes back, how much fun will be had if two or three team members are in a Valkyrie?

A lot of fun and no doubt Mission Failed - The coke was destroyed...due to trigger finger

One of my favs. Can't wait to see the changes (if any)

Btw: you could always solo that one. I still remember feeling bad-assed when I did it the first time.

It would be great if they allowed us to play chop-chop solo too.

Mr. Larson

I`m not sure about removed missions coming back. Totally looking forward for it, but prepared for the worst.
Pickup Sticks was just fine the way it was, great mission. But if they cant fix the timer bug, they will just remove the timer and nerf the mission.
Just imagine PS with indestructable coke and no timer, horrible. But this is the way they fix missions :(

Ditto. One of my favorite missions as well.

Watching people fail it over and over because they had the overly aggressive mentality made me laugh. I never went for the clean sweep at the mountain camp or the gas station off the freeway. Always dine and dash. I can't tell you how many people I showed how to do this mission.

Gosh, it's been so long I don't remember how I soloed it. I seem to recall getting my buzzard, landing at the frogger, getting in it, then getting out and doing the mission in the buzzard.

But, yes, I want to see this come back as well as the mission at human labs. I find myself grinding chop chop, los santos connection and a couple of the missions at the merriweather docks now.

Have to disagree here, I think R* made the timers too tight in GTA Today and nobody I know will play that mission for

that reason.

The only problem with GTA Today is how little time you have to get the last two cars. Specifically the one up north (guarded by cops) - if you're all at the drop location before the last part begins, making a round-trip to get that car and bring it back cuts it REALLY close. I've done it, but had only 10 seconds to spare and my driving was close to perfect with no major crashes. I wouldn't mind if they added a minute to that. But I do like the timers in general - combined with the music (which is awesome) it makes you feel like you're really doing some badass sh*t, even though it's pretty much just standard GTA stuff. Also, you can adjust for the existing timer by just sending 1 or more guys up north before delivering the last car in the first stage.

As for Pickup Sticks, I still think those timers are generous. With a grab-and-go approach you usually have 1-2 minutes to spare on each section; that's plenty of extra time to be a little more tactical if you want. If you're looking to set up methodically and wipe out every last enemy though, this is probably not the mission for you. Personally, I like mixing up my gameplay and approaching different missions in the ways that are appropriate to them. Something like American Exports or Chop Chop requires patience and tactics; Pickup Sticks rewards being fast and sneaky.

The timer wasn't the problem. I've done this mission using an Innovation many times for a harder challenge. They do need to bring it back.

People probably complained about it. They took away the timer in JTJ for that same reason, I bet.
