Camera no longer auto-following on foot

Hello.

I have encountered an issue recently, in that there is a setting to make the camera auto-follow your character, so it is always behind the player.

It used to work fine, but now it stays in the same postition, so i have to manually move the camera around when running all the time.

 

I have cleared the cache as that is usually the first thing to try, i also tried turning the setting off and on again in the options menu, but no luck

 

Anyone else have this problem or knows how to resolve it?
