What is GTA V's Original Title?

This question is kinda weird but it's like, I remember back in 2011 (Or 2012) when GTA V wasn't released yet, I kinda remember when I visited the Rockstar Games' official website, I saw the first GTA V tease. It's like a picture of Michael staring out the window or something. And there's a railroad track outside of it. Then the title of the game says GTA V then there's something like "Railway Submission" or something kinda like that right next to the title. Really weird remembering something like that. But was that the real title or something? What the heck was that? I'm really confused right now.

(I'm really sure it was GTA V so don't tell me it was some other game)

I'm pretty sure it was always called GTA V.

maybe " railway submission" was the name of that particular concept art.

It was always GTA V. Besides, Grand Theft Auto: Railway Submission sounds pretty dang weird...

I remember R* used "Shetland Pony" as a codename for GTA V.

It was Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing.;)

Seriously, it was called "Rush".

Yeah, the Rush casting call's description of the characters are on point to the ones in V. Albert De Silva aka Balcony Guy turned out to be Michael.

Hah, De Silva, De Santa. It's funny how easily coded was the project, yet a lot of people twisted their minds a dozen times trying to figure out V.

GTA IV: Los Santos wouldn't have been too bad actually :p (seeing as it's still in the IV universe as far as we know and usually when we get a new number it's a new universe, and V just had to change it...)

It's suppose to be consistent with the way the package the game now. GTA Vice City and San Andreas were actually extensions or new stories of the GTA III 3D universe. It required two entirely new games to do. When GTA IV came along, they decided to stick with Liberty City and create two new story lines on top of GTA IV, except this time as DLC. This was doable because they had already invested a lot of time and money in creating Liberty City for IV, so it was worth exploring new characters on top of a game that had already been built. The advent of DLC was also a new form of media consumption and is considered an "invention" by Rockstar, or at least that's what TakeTwo claims. Also, Liberty City was big enough and detailed enough that rehashing the landscape never seemed stale.

GTA V is technically still linear in terms of IV, but it has zero association with it. This time around, the creative continuity of story DLC will be different. I think we all know that Michael, Trevor and Franklin will be returning, unlike the past GTA's where completely new characters were introduced. So in a way, it's still in line with the tradition of adding two new stories to the mix, but this time, not only will the setting go unchanged, but also the characters.

GTA 1 and 2 take place in the same universe.

The original title was: " The new GTA, filled with ******* annoying characters and their ******* voices, and a pathetic Wanted Level Scheme, and glitches galore that will piss off a lot of people, because that's what we @ "R" love to do, and no matter what, it will sell millions and we @ "R" love it ! "!

But then, after a lenghty "R" staff meeting, they decided to make it a short title.
