Danny-Vain
With Win 10 coming soon and many games moving onto DirectX 12 I wonder if Rockstar will update the PC version to DirectX 12. Many games using DirectX 12 apparently have much better performance than DX 11, it would be interesting to see how better GTA would be with DX 12. Sorry in advance if this has already been discussed. southparkmayor
No. every game that already has DX11 or older will not get DX12. Its up to the developer. With Crysis 2 there was a DX11 from DX10 patch. Only because the developers took the time. DX12 is a very radical API compared to DX11 or 10. It is "closer to the metal" with lower level programming, requiring developers to relearn the code. Personally, I dont Think R* is going to take the time to rework GTA V for DX12. It took them 2 years to make the PC version. The next game from R* will Most likely use DX12, IF they even Feel like making it for PC. I cant wait for DX12 games either. Its going to revolutionize PC Gaming by the looks of it.
