The thing is that Online uses files used by V. Therefore, it is not a completely separate entity. For it to be considered its' own entity, Online would have to be packaged on a separate disc, and installation on your gaming platform of choice.

What you are forgetting is the fact that GTA Online will be alive long after GTAV is well and truly not given a sh*t about.

Just because its built from the framework of GTAV, doesnt make it GTAV Multiplayer.

otherwise they would've called it GTAV Multiplayer.

What I find funny is that most of the people who hate Online don't even bother to play it simply because "Blah blah blah I refuse to play it cos GTA should be an SP only game blah blah blah".

Average white guy

I've played Online and it's not my cup of tea so I stick to SP.

Can't you be at least somewhat civil?

Thanks.

So....people should play Online although they hate it? Makes perfect sense...

I think it might. Then instead of the 'they're making us play online!!!' Things, we'll get the 'more pointless DLC huh cockstar' threads instead. Good news all round.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense.

If SP fans really hate online PC is the route your going to have to go. Modders understand we don't want to play with the Jimmy De Santa's of the world.

Not even surprised. They don't care for SP. Still haven't added the content from the last update. It ain't gonna happen. If they don't release SP DLC then I'm done with the game.

The trainers can spawn all the current online-only DLC vehlices, right?

Also, I played Online (on PC) for the first time yesterday and played it for a while. It was pretty fun until a hacker spawned 40k a piece money bags on top of everyone so you were forced to pick them up...

I've read about the state of hacking in GTA V and essentially (like some other unfortunate games) GTA Online has basically no security and the client is able to spawn objects and all sorts of madness. Pretty much ruins the whole game if you have someone spawning 15 40k moneybags with no seemingly no effort... "money" is really the only progression in GTA Online.

I believe there are third party MP Clients in the works. I may try one of those.

Holy f*cking sh*t.

you guys got GTAV. It just so HAPPENED TO COME WITH GTA ONLINE. It is its own SEPARATE ENTITY and every single day that I lurk these forums I watch all you entitled idiots think they're the same thing.

Look at your copies of GTAV - 'INCLUDES GTA Online'.

GTA Online is its own consistent world, which will be going for years and years.

of course it's bound to get a consistent flow of updates.

Your standalone GTAV however? A single player game, start to finish. buncha DLC thats already come out for it. no story dlc as promised, sure, but thats another argument.

The sheer fact is if you expect a SINGLE PLAYER GAME released 2 years ago to cop the same kind of content an MMO does, then you're the reason these forums have gone to sh*t and littered with nothing but entitled bitching.

Actually people like you are the reason these forums have gone to sh*t. If you like online so much, go f*ckin play it. If you don't like single player people complaining about the dlc only being online, stay the f*ck out of the thread.

stay the f*ck out of the thread.

Or what?

TBH I'm fine with both SP and online as they are. I bought them as is, I didn't expect to be constantly given more sh*t for free like an entitled c*nt.

That said, they should add some of the stuff from the Heist update at some point, at least after getting 100% (since adding it before that changes SP.) Personally I get annoyed when they keep changing things in SP and online in such a way that allows for people to come along later and play it in some sort of "easy mode" variant. But yeah, even though most of the stuff in that update is for MP (I'm not saying it should be kept from SP, I'm saying much of it is designed for multiple people, and therefor nowhere near as fun, some of it is even all but useless), they should still add it in. The Hydra, and Savage at least, probably even the unarmed Insurgent, etc.

I really just don't get why everyone assumes this stuff won't be in SP. Every single update so far as been "for online" and all but the heists one has ended up in SP.

You're making a silly presumption with nothing to back it up.

I think you'll find that the majority of SP fans have played online and didn't like the experience.

When I first tried online, I couldn't stay off it. SP was dead as far as I was concerned. But I very quickly realised that online only offers half the world in terms of detail and immersion, and is occupied mainly by idiots.

Online does have its good points. I long for the SP garage system to work as well as it does online. Buying and owning cars in SP is pointless, and whichever way you look at it, that's wrong - privileged c#nts or not.

It's a shame how R* are treating the true Single Player fans of the series.

It's clear they made these updates exclusive for online so that they can boost their shark card sales (through overpriced vehicles and clothing).

It reminds me of the same manipulative tactic they used when the first trailer came out so they could bait and switch to Max Payne 3 advertising.

Ever since they neglected SP my respect for them has seriously gone down the drain.

For all you know I dont even play it.

Im simply pointing out that GTA:O is NOT GTAV MP.

If coneheads like you knew this, you wouldnt be making yourself look like a complete idiot by demanding that DLC come from a technically separate game to your single player experience.

'The dlc being online only'

Guess what, the DLC is for a different game Which is what im pointing out.

Its simple.

You have an online MMO in a series, and you have a standalone installment in the same series. And you expect the standalone to receive as much attention as something thats intended to be around for years? You DEMAND it? Understand what it is you're attempting to criticise.

You aggressive little sh*t.

Holy f*cking sh*t. you guys got GTAV. It just so HAPPENED TO COME WITH GTA ONLINE. It is its own SEPARATE ENTITY.

If its a separate enity then why all those big updates need to be downloaded by every single player? They should also release the updates separately too, since these take a lot of extra hard drive space, for adding just a bunch of more toys to fool around, and nothing like, extra missions, features, activities, additional garage space, safehouses, etc.

Furthermore, its 10x extra annoying if you want to re-install the entire game and have to re-download those updates!

Single players are stuck with the game even if sone of the updates introduced a bunch of bugs or mess with the prev. update and break the gameplay portions. There are so many complains STILL PENDING at their support site and waiting for some patches/fixes to be released, but still after twenty months no sight of any such thing even announced yet!!

So Fool, think about all the problems single players get from the updates of the not-so separate entity you are talking about.

The increasing number of f*ckin' sell-outs like you, who are drooling over such garbage sh*t called ONLINE are the reason for a LOT of things that is becoming a common trend and setting a wrong example for the series'. People like you don't even realize what truly makes the game a masterpiece beyond graphics whoring, and accept every sh*t wrapped in a nice coat of shiny package as the GOTY ... f*cking joke!

Go to the ONLINE section and spew your bullsh*t over there...

the only thing that useless is the Valkyrie as for some reason the npc can man the minigun but not shoot it. But for the tehnical and insurgent you can hang out with M f and T and use it easily

I'm going to keep this brief as I'm a little pressed ATM and on my phone:

@Osho

Listen mate, we get it, the HD era is no match to your precious, untouchable, flawless 3D era. Fine, that's your opinion. A sh*t one, but an opinion nonetheless. But I'm drawing the line at you labeling those who enjoyed GTAO or can at least possess the ability to understand it is a separate f*cking game as "sell-outs".

I don't know about anybody else, but I got a fully fleshed out experience from V's SP campaign, and consider it to be the most fun and thrilling title in the series thus far. Just because YOU didn't get what YOU wanted in no way, shape or form says focus was shifted primarily to online.

You know what the 3D era didn't have? You guessed it...free SP DLC.

In his defense, those games didn't need it. They felt more than complete and gave years, many years, of entertainment. San Andreas I played, from the time I got it, until my PS2 died (around 6+ years later). With GTA IV, it was less than one year, though I did play the Episodes for quite some time. GTA V, well about an year and a half.

Millions play online, it's not full of 12 year olds. Trolls or hackers at all. It has some people who are Insulting, racist, adult virgins who think women are made of boobs, children who know no better, people blocking doors "hey I've blocked this guy in LS customs, I'm making people enjoy the game less, I'm so f*cking funny!!!" YouTube videos called how to troll online. Online games seem to bring out this sh*tty side of people, the Internet does the same thing. It is GTA though, so you can't expect everyone to just let you get on with what you're doing, but people who I guess have no life spend hours ruining it for others. It's marvelous. With people who will play without the dickheadedness it's really fun, especially the heists. Games of its size usually come with subscriptions, paid DLC too, what you get for the price of the game is slightly insane, and no needing to buy shark cards unless you're impatient, or have no time.

OT: it's possible they won't, maybe they come in SP DLC, maybe they're drawing a line between SP and online now, making DLC for one or the other, not both. There's still a week left so cancel the hitmen for now.

No. I don't have any problems with people enjoying ONLINE.

I was referring to those idiots who specially come here and show their ugly faces ( take a look at this response ) to simply disrespect the single players for voicing their own issues out whether be against online or not, and speaking sh*t like, "who plays SP anymore?" are what truly classify as sell-outs in my eyes.
