Seems like the update isnt coming to sp

Yeah, we are getting continuous updates for free, and that is very nice and it's better than having no content at all. It is however worse that these updates are not available for Single Player and it's only Online exclusive. I'm not saying that Online is the worst thing ever to exist, but as a person that never liked Online, I feel ashamed and dumbfounded that Rockstar are not giving loyal SP players some goodies. That is the first thing that quite pissed me off on the Heist update. I do not like Online, but I admit that I do still play it quite a bit from time to time, but GTA V isn't my main priority anymore. We are getting better and newer games later this year. Batman: Arkham Knight, Fallout 4, MGSV, and Uncharted 4 early next year. I'd rather buy and play those games than play GTA V again.

 

Well said, my friend. I quite like GTA:O but can barely play it as I don't have PS Plus membership, which I hope to get this summer. I was so outraged when not only did we not get Heists in SP, the update rendered the story mode unplayable. Its a nice feature which I hope they improve upon, but R* current disregard for the loyal story fans is at best annoying. Lets not forget that without us, GTA would never have passed its first version in the late '90s, would never have come to fame in 2001 with GTA III and would never have made history with GTA SA

Rockstar does Q and A at times on newswire ( talking about the Ask and Answered ) and they never utter a word about the story mode DLC. Surely it would be simple to copy Online heists over to single player? Or even, failing that, giving us the ability to rob the enterable Fleeca banks. They must plan to do this at some point, or why would we be able to go into them?

Don't get me wrong, I do love taking a nice shiny modded car around San Andreas' highways. But new activities > shiny new weapons/vehicles.As long as a future separate paid-for DLC doesn't have those things. SP has waited for love for so long we should all get it for free. Then again, we are getting the Editor for consoles soon.

I played III, VC, SA and didn't complain about them not getting updates, so there's no reason for me to be jealous about Online constantly getting updated. If the people that complain about this had seen the Online gameplay trailer that came out one month before the release, they would know that they had planned to constantly make new content for Online from the beginning. The fact that the vehicles and weapons of all the DLCs except heists have still been added to SP shows that R* does care about the singleplayer, and the CG exclusive features were just another example. If R* would disregard SP, we would have gotten nothing since release and they wouldn't be working on SP DLC.

Well, one thing you have to understand is that us here on GTAF aren't the main audience for GTA. We're the fans that love the series so much that we want to talk about it online. The majority of players of GTA now are just, well- kids. They don't care about Single Player because they haven't even touched it yet. Or if they have, they've just played with Frankie and that's it. The only thing the majority of GTA players seem to care about is GTA:Online.

 

Rockstar's gonna cater to their niche market, and right now, all they can hear is millions of people asking for new guns, cars and clothes. At the moment, expecting anything more from R* to do with the Singleplayer is just futile. But hey, at least V's singleplayer has had more things added in than IV's singleplayer, right?

I get what you say DaWiesel, it's just that we still have small little things that could have been patched ages ago in SP that are still there in current gen and (presumably) PC, such as the Weed Farm. Maybe 'disregard' was the wrong word to use, its just that V seems to be lacking on things to do after the Strangers and Freaks and main story have been finished, while Online gets all the cool, exciting activites such as the heists. I genuinely believed that SP would get something, to make use of the enterable banks there are. Even if it was just the Fleeca Job and the Pacific Standard Job.

Heists in Single player? Ha ha, I guarantee you that playing with the AI will get old within 2 hours. Heists are something that are only enjoyable with friends aka real people.

That being said, enough with the pointless bickering, arguments, and name calling. Considering the last few pages, it looks like this thread won't last much longer. I'm giving you one last chance to get back on topic, guys.

 

It is a problem though, isn't it? Aside from death matches and racing, nobody really enjoys the "tasks" you have to do in Online in order to obtain what you want. You constantly have to grind and then deal with childish players who only want to ruin everything and troll 24/7. On top of that you have so many limits as well. That's why so many people cheat and mod. Isn't that a problem? And me personally, I'd love Online if it were actually fun to me. Aside from racing I just find it mundane. It's a shame that I can go back to TBoGT's modder infested MP mode and have more fun. I'll have more fun because it feels like there is more freedom. Yeah I don't own any cars or apartments or helicopters but it still manages to be more fun. And that has nothing to do with me liking IV, that's bullsh*t. I haven't even played IV in over 3 months, I've been playing V and relatively enjoying it.

 

The bickering won't stop so you know this thread is going to get locked, it's inevitable. You've been here for over a year, you know these guys:

Lovely. I have played with friends, LazyBoy. and his crew. Did I enjoy it? I did enjoy the racing and the cruising but got boring after a while. The missions and the tasks we had to do still felt tedious and boring but I made lots of money in return.

 

Oh and I'll keep typing in italics and saying cheers because I can. It's hilarious how you think I get irate in every one of posts... yeah keep thinking that.

how is multiplayer garbage? You may not enjoy it but even you can deny that playing with OTHERS real players was is and will always be much more enjoyable than playing with AI. Don't get me wrong I spend around 90% of my time on SP, mainly because all my friends have gone onto current gen. But have enjoyed ONLINE very much when I played it.
