you can't criticize someone's taste in cars, and then say 'oh I don't do it that much, if at all.'

Just so you know.

Coquette BlackFin - ...eh... Not exactly the new Stirling GT, is it? Where the Stirling really did a great job of blending the 300 SLR coupé with bits of the 300 SL, this just looks like a bad parody of a Corvette C1, IMO - fat, lumpen, and with really weird, cartoonish proportions. Even if it's somehow the best-performing sports classic in the game (...which would make no sense), it's just ...ugh. :(

It wouldn't make much less sense than the Stirling GT being as fast as it is, and if the BlackFin was really fast it would help restore a little bit of balance to the sports classic class that the Stirling GT pretty much ruined.

I highly doubt that the T20 is gonna be the Osiris-killer, the Osiris is putting up too good of lap times right now. If anything, I'll say that it'll edge out the Turismo, putting it roughly on par with the Zentorno.

I hope it's an Osiris killer just so people will get mad. Also going by real life stats, which they likely won't go by but it wouldn't hurt, the P1 whips the Huayra's ass in every way possible.

Anyways, my blunt opinions on all of the new cars including the ones from Part I just to show I don't complain for the sake of complaining

Stirling GT - When I first saw this car whilst checking Rockstar randomly one morning, I flipped. It's front fascia and doors were teased and I was ecstatic. When they showed off another shot of it I went loopy. Truly a gorgeous car and I knew it would drive well but boy was I in for a surprise. The performance was better than it's looks. Crackles and burbles from the exhaust, it's just pure ear porn. Agility is better than some of the 'sports' cars in this game, and it's quick too. The performance is so good, it just sh*ts all over the Surano which is ass backwards but oh well? The looks don't ware off. Like, at all. Still a sexy rolling piece of art. The cockpit could've been a Peyote's instead of a Duke's but who cares? The cars boss!

How I saw it before release: 10/10 How I see it now: 11 if I could but 10/10

Virgo - This was/is the black sheep of the family (pack). A prettied up Manana renamed as the Virgo. Taking an already existing car and reusing a classic's name on it? I found it utterly revolting and I still do. However the car's now that bad, it's an improvement over the Manana (which I loved in IV but couldn't have cared less about in V). It sounds great and handles like it should but I just can't get over it's name. It's not a Virgo in my eyes. It's something else. It should've already existed in the game, hell this is what the Manana should've been, they should've changed the Manana to this just like the altered the Comet by adding a spoiler and more aggressive wheels. And it just feels like a filler car and I simply can't get over that. I can't drive this car without remembering what it replaces and that Rockstar most likely took a Manana and added some 'stuff' in less than 30 minutes then called it a day.

How I saw it before release: 3/10 How I see it now: 5/10

Windsor - A truly elegant and completely unique car. This is one of the first modern personal luxury coupes they've added and I think one of the fourth modern GT cars (right behind the Furore GT, Massacro, and Alpha) that they've added (and the game is still sort of lacking in sport GT coupes, really). I thought it would be the bee's knees and it was. I adore this car. It's not for everyone but it's a certainly a change from super aesthetic and extravagant mid-engined sports/supers (Jester, Turismo R, Osiris, Zentorno not to mention we already had the Adder, Cheetah, and Entity XF - I think all we needed was a P1 and we got one and lastly a 918 which we should get but hopefully not any time soon). It's not super fast and it's a heavy car but it's supposed to be. It's powerful and relaxed and quiet and perfect for a long journey. I haven't experienced anything like this car on a trip around the map, it really does isolate you like a Rolls Royce Wraith would. That unique tan cockpit is the icing on the already very flavorful cake.

How I saw it before release: 8/10 How I see it now: 9.5/10

Osiris - When I first saw this I thought "cool another car with gullwings" but then thought "yay another super car... eh" and didn't pay too much attention to it. I anticipated the more unique cars, the Stirling GT and the Windsor which I thought was more of what this game needed. Driving it changed my mind. Unlike the other super cars, the steering has feel and feedback, it's fun, and it's the most elegant super we have. The Osiris is not only good for photoshoots but also good for simply cruising about. It can go fast, I mean it is a super, but I couldn't care less as speed isn't what I care about when all other aspects of a car rocks. I mean the cockpit could've been tan, but... that exterior? It's beautiful when spec'd out properly. Dark blue with brushed aluminum accents? Genuinely astonishing.

How I saw it before release: 7/10 How I see it now: 9/10

T20 - It starts out like the Osiris with "yay another super car... eh" and I don't think I'll love it as much as the Osiris. First off, it looks flawless, and I'm sure that cut and paste Banshee cockpit will finally serve it's purpose in the T20 because the P1 unarguably has a similar style cockpit. And I'm sure it'll have good steering feel. But again, another super car? I don't have a problem with them being added but one after another? What about more civilized mid-engined sports cars or something unique like a convertible? Perhaps a 458 Spider? What about a super sedan such as the Porsche Panamera Turbo S or Audi RS7? How about a fun and simple yet stylish sports car that you can just hop in and enjoy like an Audi RS5? No. Another flashy hyper car based super. As I already said, this is our fourth mid-engined hyper based car and while I don't mind them being added, I want other types of cars too. I feel the design and work put into this car could've gone to something completely unique and stylish like a Ferrari 458 or just something a little less ostentatious without being boring or too affordable.

How I see it now: 7/10

Brawler - Now this is unique but it's an off-roader and instantly we have a problem. Due to this game's strange laws of physics, AWD super cars do way better with off-roading and climbing than the actual off-road based vehicles do. So unless you want to look the part, I doubt this thing will serve a purpose at all. Maybe in off-roading themed races but I personally couldn't care less about racing. So this thing is pointless.

How I see it now: 6/10

Chino - I don't mind another low rider and the fact that it's brand new compared to the Virgo is cool. But it just isn't for me, I don't think I'll care for it more than I did the Blade. There's just something lacking about the feeling you get behind the wheel of a non-sporty classic in this game. There's just no oomph. It's kind of dull.

How I see it now: 7/10

Coquette BlackFin - An American classic that isn't a low rider? Oh my lord! I do love the way it looks and I love 50's sports cars as a whole. But this is our third Coquette. Our third one. Why does this have more generations than most cars in V? I'd like to see more generations of other cars such as the Cheetah or Turismo or Sentinel. Also, I'm nit-picky as f*ck, but there's a sad reality that the cockpit in this thing will just be flat out wrong. We have the Vapid Peyote and that has a 50's-esque cockpit. It would look perfect in this car but hey, it would've looked perfect in the Stirling GT but guess what? They didn't use it. Now I'm on last-gen so it shouldn't be much of a problem, even though it still bugs me, but on current-gen I can't imagine how wrong it would feel to hop behind the wheel of a 50's classic with retro styling only to find out that it has a boxy cockpit from a 60's muscle car classed below the Classic Coquette from the Flight School DLC. Yeah. GTA isn't a racing game but every aspect of this game needs depth and the depth here is just lacking. I hope I'm wrong but it's highly likely that this thing will have a Dukes cockpit.

How I see it now: 7/10

Vindicator - Another awkward, overly aesthetic, poorly designed Dinka bike. Some love it, some hate it. I hate it. Simple as that. Also motorcycling in this game is sh*t, the physics for bikes were better in TBoGT. I won't bother with this thing.

How I see it now: 4/10

Toro - The Speeder exists. Not only that but who goes boating in this game? It's one of the most mundane activities behind yoga and tennis. But I guess some people enjoy it. I know I don't. Even then, you cannot come up with an excuse for this stupid thing without looking like an asshole. We already have a Speeder. It's the same damn thing. Granted this looks more detailed but who cares? On top of that, wrong brand. Haha, why is it a Lampadati?

How I see it now: 2/10

Except Stirling's basically a road-legal racing car (like the 300 SLR), whereas the BlackFin (Corvette C1) is just a regular-grade vintage coupé. That's like R* adding something based on a Honda S2000 (which, for the record, is a car I'm really fond of), and people expecting it to be able to compete with the Massacro Racecar or the Elegy RH8 - er, nope...!

Once again, that's the problem with R* grouping cars by loose style for races, rather than by performance grade, but unfortunately I don't see them changing that any time soon. :/

This so f*cking much!!! :^: Grouping cars by performance grade would be so much better. And to be honest I'm sick of this coupes/sports/super/sports classic bullsh*t as a whole. Cars should not be classed that way. This is probably why there are so many screw ups within the system. For example, coupes are seen by many as below the sports class but within coupes lies the Zion XS. If you don't know what that is, it's the BMW M6 and that thing is lightning quick. But because it's a coupe and not a sports, it's not really a competitor to much of anything in the sports class when it should be. There are numerous 'coupes' in the real world that can whip a 'sports' car's ass and even though this isn't the real world, c'mon, how could you stick up for such a crap system? Wouldn't you rather have more variety, and for stuff to make more sense?

Not to mention the arbitrary definititons of things like 'coupé' (which is a body style - technically speaking, the Furore GT is a typical 'coupé' as well as a sports car, while the Felon GT's a convertible and thus a 'roadster' of sorts, and the 4-door Felon's technically a 'luxury sedan'...). 'Coupes' might as well be 'Luxury', 'Sports Classics' = 'Vintage', 'Muscle' = 'American Classics', and so on - because it's stretching the definition of 'muscle car' to breaking point to include something like a 'rat rod'.

And even within the existing classes, there are some that'd be better served by swapping them around - obvious one being the Blista Compact, which'd be reasonably well-balanced against the likes of the Rhapsody in the 'Compacts' class, but might as well not exist as a 'Sports' car for racing purposes...

It's based on a road legal version of a racing car from the '50s. The Stirling GT is in the top 25 fastest cars in the game, it certainly does not mimic the performance of its real-life counterpart. The BlackFin may be based on a C1, but with the wide tires and such it looks as though it is based on a pro-touring style C1 which could very well compete with an SLR if not outpace it pretty significantly in some cases.

There are two ways to look at this:

A) The cars in the game should mimic the performance of their real-world counterparts.

B) The cars in the game are fictional and therefore don't need to mimic the performance of their real-world counterparts.

If A is the case, then the Stirling GT is way faster than it should be, and a pro-touring style C1 Corvette being quite fast isn't unreasonable at all. If B is the case, then it doesn't matter either way and Rockstar can do whatever they want with the speed of the BlackFin.

My simple take:

The Brawler and maybe the T20 are the only cars I'll look into.

Brawler looks unique, I agree it looks like a mix of a muscle and off-road car, but it's a type of car we don't have in this game.

I'm 50/50 on the T20. It looks a lot like the Turismo R (my fav. Super) from the front. I'm a fan of Sports and even bigger fan of Super cars, but it doesn't grab my eye. I'll see how the back looks and how it performs, if I don't like it, I won't buy it.

Chino looks like another "lowrider" with nothing much going on. I wouldn't be able to distinguish it from other "lowriders" in the game.

Blackfin looks like a plain/"clean" Casco. Just not a fan of it.

Vindicator (bike) is hideous. Nothing more to say.

Toro (boat), a boat, really Rockstar? Looks nice, I'll probably buy it and never use it like the rest of the things in my Pegasus list.

Please R*, no more helicopters, planes, boats, or bikes (unless they're choppers).

Really just want some different sports cars from the current assortment - yeah, I've banged on about '90s JDM too many times already, but something like the classic San Andreas Jester (Toyota Supra), the SA Elegy (Nissan Skyline GT-R) or the ZR-350 (Mazda RX-7) would really be something that'd stand out from what we've got currently.

Must admit, no update's been quite as much as a pleasant surprise on that front as the Hipster update - things like the Warrener and Pigalle really covered some untapped ground, and I'd like to see more of that at some point.
