Is the Albany Virgo a muscle car or sports classic?

Umm...probably classed in muscle but is a vintage car, just like the blade

The Manaña which is a sports classic is very similair to the upcopreming Virgo, I doubt it will be a Muscle.

You wouldn't think so, no.

But the fact that at least half of it is basically a Manana clone makes no sense, either.

So who the hell knows what category it'll be in... very good chance it'll be in Muscle, even if it's pretty stupid.

What they ought to do is have a "Vintage" race class similar to GTA IV's.

That way they could take lower-rung cars from Sports Classics, Muscle and Sedans that don't really belong in those categories anyway and put them into one that makes more sense and might actually give them a competitive purpose in races.

It could have: Tornado (and variants), Manana, Peyote, Emperor, Regina, Voodoo, Rat Loader, Rat Truck, Slamvan, Virgo, etc.

They might not all be equal, but it wouldn't be any more unbalanced than the current classes. :p

"SOME of the new rides"?!? Am I misinterpreting or does that phrase suggests that there will be more vehicles than those presented?

It's safe to assume we can expect more than what they've shown, The fact that this is only part one means there will most likely be other additions besides content. (crosses fingers and hopes mansions are on the way)

Rockstar likes to say that they've shown us SOME when in fact they've shown us ALL. They love to mess around and build up speculation. The cars they showed are all we're getting. No more until the next update which I could only assume will come in July.

Cheers!

What you just said is also speculation. Neither you or I know if there's more vehicles than listed. If that was all the vehicles in this DLC they would have said "Here are a few screen shots featuring ALL of the new rides and some of the new accessories coming to GTA Online next week." But I could be wrong, you could be wrong. Its all guesses until next week.

As much as I sometimes despise supers for little 12 year olds ruining them for me, that is probably still the one I want most and most excited for. Probably going to turn into the new Zentorno unless the Osiris has horrible performance.

Also I hope the 'solid gold' luxor and swift actually have properties of real gold, therefore bulletproof and sort of rocket proof. I doubt this, but i can still be hopeful

real gold is bullet and rocket proof? since when?

Depends on its thickness, but when its really thick and heavy i'd imagine it was relatively bullet proof

and totally unflyable. That poor Luxor would go into the ground like a dart. That is if it actually got of the ground in the first place lol

not to mention by my knowing gold is a pretty soft metal

LOFL!!! 6 pages later and you guys are still talking about the metallurgical properties of gold and whether they can repel small arms fire!? hehe :p

The Pegassi Osiris is mostly based on a Pagani Huayra, which in real life has amazing grip and traction due to aerodynamic panels (located on the front and back) that activate at certain speeds and wind resistance - keeping the car glued to the road. Obviously we wont have these panels in game, but it would be awesome if the Osiris had that traction/grip reflected in its performance.... maybe wont be the fastest super car, but holding speed throughout corners will win you more races than pure top-end speed :D

2011-Pagani-Huayra-Rear-Profile-Open-Roa

Yeah those flaps are like dynamic spoilers that come up at different angles at different speeds to keep the car on track while turning, it's wonderful to watch. I hated them at first but seeing them in action... it's a thing of beauty to see and understand the science and physics behind it and why they do that.

Basically, the flaps on the inside of the turn come up higher to give more downforce to that side of the car to push it down more since when you turn the car wants to rotate toward the outside and put all the weight and therefore traction on that side, so it's a way of balancing it out. I hope it performs up there with the zentorno, I don't care if it hands down beats it, but I'd like a little cousin car to the entity in my garage and that thing is a wonderful addition.

While this is rampant speculation and i'm certainly not holding my breath, your conversation got me to checking... Did you guys happen to notice that the picture of the rear of the Osiris has the seams of the air brake wing flaps in the same location as the Huayra? Could you imagine how sick this car is going to handle if you had functional flaps for stability control and air braking! :D

illgotten002.jpg

Whilst it would be great I doubt R* will have added functional flaps. It will probably be like the spoiler on the adder.

Yeah, i'm with you there... But hey, one can always hope! ;) I am curious to see what the performance figure comparative is between this and the Zentorno though... Perhaps FunW2 would be so kind, as to dig out the hard number stats for us (if available), that might be a interesting read?!

It may be possible that we will get more than the cars shown, i think they did that when we had one big update after another about this time last year, i think it was the I'm not a Hipster Update when we got quite a few cars. They did not show all the cars that were new so its safe assume that there may be one or two more vehicles. I'm hoping for the Tampa personally, that would be the best vehicle of all.

Is it me or does the Virgo look like an updated version of the Remington from San Andreas.

That's what I thought too at first... because of the front bumper.

But when you zoom in on it, it looks awkward the way they did it... it doesn't look so much like a bumper as it does a glob of chrome. It's almost shapeless and doesn't match the style of the rear bumper whatsoever. The rear one being very square.

Other than that, the overall shape of the front fenders from what you can see is pretty close to a '67 Eldorado... which is what the rest of it more or less looks like. So far, that is.

Osiris, Sterling GT and Virgo will definitely be added to my garages. I only wish the Virgo retained it's GTA IV model, the new one (at least from the side profile) looks a little too similar to the Manana.

Since we are getting golden vehicles, when is Rockstar going to give us the Super Drop Diamond? That sh*t will go PERFECT with this update. If it doesn't come in Part 1, it better come in Part 2. It's a match made in heaven. Workable drop-top would be icing on the cake.

Wishlist for Part II:

Ill-Gotten Gains: Part II

Enus Cognoscenti XL

7360453662_46002952b2_z.jpg

Looks like an Enus Huntley S but in sedan form with open 5-spoke rims. Circular LED daytime running lights, lots of chrome, and thick mirrors. Shares tan interior with the Enus Super Diamond and performance with the Enus Huntley S except it launches better.

Grotti Brake

11030068006_0876498dee_z.jpg

Looks like a Grotti Cabronizzare with a taller front fascia and wider grill, less pronounced fender vents, huge rear passenger windows and a hatchback, and painted mirrors. Shares the same beige interior but performance wise it's quicker and has an AWD system.

Lampadati 66

17984871312_97aa0d97ea_z.jpg

Looks similar in size to the Coil Voltic and shares the same interior and similar performance. Sounds like a Carbonizzare and accelerates better than a Coquette. Looks like an Alfa Romeo 4C, Alfa Romeo 8C, and a Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C7 (in the rear). Comes with a painted hard top, a carbon fiber hard top, or no top at all.

I hope they have similar performance.Other than heists vehicles (like Insurgent and armored Kuruma),mostly seen cars used by players are Zentornos, along with a few Entities and Adders. This game could use some variety. Also,Osiris looks ten times better than Zentorno,I would be glad to see it used a lot instead of all the Zentornos.

If R* put this rear end on the Turismo R:

illgotten002.jpg

And the Turismo R's rear end on this car:

illgotten005.jpg

...All would be right with the world. As is stands, the Turismo's rear has curves and smooth shapes all over, then the car goes all hard and sharp and angular. This Pegassi car has angles all over it's rear haunches, but the rest of the car is smooth and bulbous. Basically, put the new car's rear on this:

TurismoR-GTAV-Front.jpg

And slap this onto the rear of the new car:

Grotti-Turismo-R-Rear.jpg

The fact that the Turismo R's front and rear ends don't match has bothered me since that car came out, and the Pegassi Osiris looks to carry on this tradition...
