It looks like a cadillac, the front looks like a 72 eldorado and the back a 67 eldorado.

Huh. You're right about the '67 Eldorado part... first I thought it just had a roof like the Manana, but the part of the quarter panel that kicks up is exactly like a '67 Eldorado. Couldn't quite place it at first.

 

The more I look at that picture of the Virgo, the less sense it makes to me.

 

Don't get me wrong, I like that we're getting another car like this, but why do we need two cars in the same game that both kinda look like '67 Eldorados in the same way, but neither one really fits the bill?

 

The GTA IV Virgo wouldn't have been new, but it would've been unique in the context of GTA V itself... it would stand out because nothing else looks like it. Instead we're going to have two cars that are almost the same.

 

That's Rockstar logic for you, I guess.

Plus they're f*cking up their own continuity even more. haha

It kind of reminds me of a coach conversion Eldorado pimpmobile.

Yeah, I like the idea of it.

I just think they could've accomplished the same thing by giving the Manana more mods (like the continental kit) and maybe giving it an optional front fascia mod to make it look like what they're previewing.

 

That way they could leave open the possibility of having an actual Lincoln for a Virgo in the future... if they'd bother to do enough research on their own past games beyond car names.

 

Thing is, I'm not much of a Ford guy, (I much prefer Mopars and GM generally) but I guess I'm more into 70's Lincolns and Cougars than that particular generation of Eldorado.

 

Why not a Toronado instead, if they need a good 60's GM front wheel drive personal luxury car so bad?

Rest assured I will likely NOT buy another one. Many the supercars owners in this game are "hey look at me, I am rich enough to afford ____." I respect those that race them and take that aspect serious. Players running around in chrome adders with money rims - they drive them to be seen in them.

Ohh, that Virgo could be nice. I'm glad I didn't go for the "Live a Little" trophy, this is going to be silly expensive. Thankfully I have $16M on my main account and I don't want a gold swift or plane, but the cars are going to put a dent in it, and I bet the clothes will be like $5k per t-shirt.

 

I wonder if we can try this stuff out in SP first this time or if they will just say new stuff unlocked when it isn't.

Meh a couple cars, some jackets and gold versions of the swift.

 

I get more excited over actual updates to the game like the mental state or ability to aim and shoot while driving. I want to see more UI stuff personally.

 

 

Oh and for the love of god flares, I can't stand the homing missile it's too OP and needs something to counter it.. My least favorite addition so far..

I can't speak for all super owners (*cough* gawdy unicorn vomit paint *cough* all most expensive upgrades *cough* musical horn *cough* dolla rims/whitewalls *cough* too many times, about to pass out...)

 

But, in this game, I (and everyone else) playing a virtual criminal who has to escape petulant players, nos powered cop cruisers and maniacal mercs in SUVs on the regular, and I feel pretty stupid and pathetic trying to outrun death in a generic rent-a-car.

 

This isn't Grand Theft "take a Sunday drive in a metal coffin", that appears to weigh 8 tons with such weak acceleration, but can't push a 1/8th ton Izzy out the way...

 

Go ahead and be a damn hipster in your generic ride, and I will have even less problem taking you down, numerous times, on the cheap and easy.

I'm most likely going to be buying everything but the Plane & Chopper. ARE WE SERIOUSLY GONNA HAVE TO REBUY BOTH OF THE VEHICLES AGAIN FOR THE GOLD PAINT???

Other than that, everything else is pretty awesome. Super excited for the Windsor, and the Virgo also seems like It'l be a cool lowrider.

I have to say, that Stirling GT is the sexiest car Rockstar has designed. The mix of 300SLR, 300SL, and Alfa Romeo (with, a bit odd but fitting, 8C side vents) is flawless. That rear window, those side pipes, that bonnet, the chrome, those headlamps... It's an astonishing design. I'm sure it'll drive and sound just as good as it looks. Already destined to be the best classic in the game, hands down. Not even the Stinger GT can touch it design wise. I'm definitely having me one of these.

 

In the next update, presumably coming in July, I REALLY hope they give us an AMG GT/SLS with gullwing doors. This new gullwing door fad they're doing looks good and I say bring on another car with them!
