MY GTA IV Disc keep on ejecting from my CD drive where as other CD&#39

Hi friends,

 

My GTAIV CD keeps on ejecting from CD drive. One out of fifty times it works.

Where as if i insert any other CD it works fine.

Can you please suggest me a possible reason or solution.

Its a new CD, no scratches.

And i have completed 25% of game by trying to insert CD many times.

Also, how exactly do you beat 25% of the game from inserting a CD?

Is it a legitimate copy of the game?

ExEminer1, no i am not trolling, as i said once in 50 times my CD works, and when it works i play it for 4-5hrs, in that way i finished 25% of my game.

Kevin3014, yes it is a legitimate copy of the game.

Could be a problem with your CD/DVD Drive. I used to have a similar problem, I replaced by DVD Drive and voila! it started reading again.

Insert the disc in another computer and check whether it's being read or not.

but if it is a problem of cd drive then other cds also shouldnot work, but other cds work fine..

Well, my DVD drive didn't read the discs of two games which I had, yet it read my motherboard's driver discs.

Thanks Kevin, your advise worked, i bought new external CD drive and now my CD is working, bbut now i am facing a new problem, my game keep getting stuck at "tunnel of death", is showing "loading..." and do nothing....what should i do, i have tried restarting the game many times.

Have you updated the game to the latest patch? If not, download it from here. Have you installed any mods?

Now i have other issue, due to some error my game stopped completely i tried to run it many times but i couldn't, so i unistalled it and tried to reinstall but now after installation and also during installation it is giving me some error that memory cann't be read.

What should i do?

What's the error shown? Post a screenshot.

Sorry for late reply, hardly get any time on weekdays from office.

I couldn't able to paste the screen shot, so i am writing it down what it says.

It says,"The instruction at 0x00e05087 referenced memory at 0x0000014. The memory couldnot be read.

Click on OK to terminate the program/ click cancel to debug the program"

I tried to uninstall and install it again and now i am getting error code SMPA30

No i didn't modified my game.

I think it's because of corrupted save games, try starting a new game.
