What if your franklin and you've bought LSC in the desert

 

There is one garage for all three characters. So if one of them bought a car mod, two other would also have access to it. At least I imagine it would be this way

 

My point was for franklin all LSC upgrades are free. As long as he does it in that one lsc. So should all upgrades be free for him in the mods garage?

This mod is great. Tested and worked fine. But then I realized there was a conflict with this and the grappling hook mod as that mod and this mod both have their own ScriptHook files. So I can use either or, but not both. Still a great mod though. Is there anyway around this? I assume people are uploading their own scipthooks due to the amount of custom coding done which is awesome. But if it's to be used by a SINGLE mod only, there will always be conflicts with others if they don't work together to solve the issues.

no I mean that's why a modder shouldn't release something that requires a modded scripthook. that's going to cause a lot of problems very quickly (and I just realized this is probably why this mod doesn't work on my GTA V)

 

if you're using scripthookvdotnet then just push your changes to the git repository so everybody can use it and problem solved :)

Not bad, just not enough time to get something out yet. Doing my best though, promise I'm gonna make something awesome for you guys.

I am aware that modders are releasing their own ScriptHookVDotNet, so I've decided to only use the released versions of ScriptHookVDotNet, and what I need that isn't in the version, i'll code myself. Also I contribute a bit to the Git Page ;)

Does it mean that the only solution then is to wait for official release of new version of scripthook?

Well first ScriptHookV and ScriptHookVDotNet are different things - ScriptHookVDotNet requires ScriptHookV to run. That being said, I presume you're referring to newer versions of ScriptHookVDotNet since AB's ScriptHookV really only provides access to native functions and doesn't really have much reason to change (aside from new GTA V versions). If you're running a newer version of ScriptHookVDotNet than is required for the mods you're using it will probably still work, unless a function declaration was changed or a function is added/removed/renamed/missing or something like that. However, I would say running an older version is probably going to cause problems more often than not.

 

I tried mlg's ScriptHookVDotNet and now his mod works. I like it! The garage looks great, the stats menu is a nice touch (I know it doesn't work, but you can tell what it will look like). I can't wait for it to be more functional. :D Does that menu you show work at all yet or is not implemented in this beta?

Ah, thanks for clarification. Although I use the newest build of scripthookvdotnet and it doesn't work there for whatever reason. I don't think anything was deleted, so what's going on? Can you, Ethernal, test if perhaps the mod works on the newest build for you?

I have to say this is definitely one of my favorite mods so far.

as of right now I'm only encountering 1 serious issue.

 

- License Plates, Rooftops

it seems like every car you park in the garage has its license plates changed to blue or the hardtop removed. sometimes it doesn't happen until after you've reloaded a couple times, but eventually all my cars have blue plates and the convertibles don't work.

 

if you have a car with a hard top/convertible roof that can be removed, the garage always seems to 'close' or remove the roof. whenever I park my Coquette Classic in the garage with the roof removed, I come back into the garage later and the roof is on again. same goes for any other drop-top. if you park the Mañana convertible in the garage, you'll come back to find the Mañana hardtop in its place. all the same mods and the same color but the roof keeps getting replaced.

 

for some reason the garage has trouble saving the Roof and saving the License Plates.

all the other car mods seem to work just fine, but those 2 things won't actually save.

I made a little modification to the layout.xml. The spawn point for putting the vehicles in the garage will now be behind the building so you can put bigger vehicles in there.

Simply amazing. This is a great mod. I have some bugs that I noticed.

1. I made a MP Free Mode Male character with the character menu. I went into the garage as him and I had an infinite loading screen. To bypass this, I had to go into the garage before changing characters. From then on, I could access it as my character.

2. Some vehicles will not load. I have a tank that won't spawn, along with a Lost Slamvan in my second garage.

3. Same bug as the Save the last 32 vehicles mod. If I switch characters while a saved car is out, I will have the blip appearing on random vehicles that drive around, or are parked. They still despawn though.

 

Also, I have some ideas for the mod.

1. Spawn the cars angled towards the garage door. That is how they face in GTA Online. I personally think it looks better when they face the door.

2. Make the marker bigger that enters the garage. Also make it invisible.

3. When entering and exiting the garage, make the garage door open and the player drives in and out. You will hear the garage door sound which will add to immersion.

4. Add a marker in the elevator (an invisible one) which allows you to switch garages, and access the apartment. Just try to make it so it doesn't interfere with the interiors mod, so make it a different apartment in Eclipse Towers. Perhaps the second most expensive one. Also add a blip by the front door which lets you go up to that apartment. (Put it on the right side though so it doesn't interfere with the interiors mod.)

5. When the player drives a bicycle into the garage, place it on the bike rack. To access bikes, the player walks into a marker and picks it. In addition to the bike racks, I'd make it so you can use all 6 of them. In GTA Online, you only use 3 of them which is silly.

6. At Devin Weston's hanger, add a spot where we can store planes, large vehicles and helicopters. It would be neat to customize them too.

7. Add an additional slot at the jetty where we can store boats and customize them.

8. See if it is at all possible to let the player choose where to store a car when buying it off the internet. The regular garage, or one of the garages in this mod.

9. Add an option in the ini where we have to pay for the parts that we install in the mod shop.

 

NOTE: For the jetty and hanger idea, I'd make it so you access the vehicle via a menu. That way those locations don't get cluttered as they are part of the map you can normally access. Devin Weston's hangar would cause conflict with missions if it wasn't that way.

 

What do you think of these ideas?

Buying a plot of land/garages/businesses is such a cool concept i've always wanted to see in a GTA game, hoping mlgthatsme can figure out a way to make this work, especially with the location ideas i've shared and other members have too :).

I agree. It would be nice if we could have it so it is like you can buy GTA Online apartments in Single Player, and have as many of them as you want. The one thing is, how would we handle the 3 characters? Would they be able to use each other's apartment.

 

As for the hangar, helipad, and jetty. Yes you can buy aircraft and they will stay. The problem with the existing Hangars are:

-If you steal a plane/helicopter/boat and park it you loose it when you

*Switch vehicles

*It is left outside the hangar/helipad/jetty and/or it is destroyed.

-You can't customize them.

 

Now, if we had a method of adding the vehicles to the list, and customizing them, I would be all for it. It could be made so you park planes in a different spot at the hangar. You access them and customize them from a marker added at each hangar.

 

Another concern is, you get a wanted level for going into the airport in Single Player, unless the character you're playing as has a hangar. Michael and Franklin won't get wanted as long as they own the hangar. As far as playing as Trevor, or using a mod to change characters goes, Los Santos International Airport is a restricted area for sure.

That's a code to include ANY position I will put in?

You just open up the xml with any text editor (like Notepad+) and replace the original lines I have there. With a mod that's able to get coordinates, you can move it to any place on the map really.

When I select a car to mod the game crashes but I'm guessing thats just related to FiveM in someway.

How you install this mod for FiveM? Just put all files to the Plugins folder or?

I've noticed that certain cars disappear from the garage sometimes.

 

Franklin keeps trying to park an Enus Super Diamond in his garage on the 2nd floor.

every time I leave the garage and come back in, the Super Diamond is gone.

 

when you walk into the red circle, you can still 'select' the Super Diamond.

it appears in the list of cars. but the physical vehicle itself is not there. the space is empty. you have to 'delete' the Super Diamond (even though it's not there) before you can replace it.

 

aside from that everything works great.

looking forward to the next release.

I found a bug that if you go to Respray or house The icon from map will disappear .___. Hope it will fix that for the next update :)

also the car icon (Yellow color) is still around the minimap when in vehicle nor driving around "Sorry bad english :barf: "

He does indeed. I'm sure he'll find time once it settles down. I wish I was competant at coding so I could help but alas i'm not + can't, at least I have a ton of ideas, will beta test to death and help out in any other way I can with looking at things from a different angle :).

 

The fundamentals are here for something truly special.
