mlgthatsme this is one of the most useful mods and the way it works. I love the possibility of use all the cars by all characters, also the delivery option rocks! But most of all, i love the way you thinking, the SPG and it's way of working, is what i was dreaming to have in the game! I am able to store, mod and use also some big vehicles like the limo, the police riot and even a rhino tank (all stolen) For me it works really good from the beta 0.1. For the moment i didn't store any bigger trucks but i'll give a try :)

 

The only issues i have is that i can't get off in the floor from the blazer. Every time i get in (any) floor with any blazer and press the F button to get off, it sends me down at the entrance on the blazer. The only way to modify or store it, is to destroy the blazer outdoors and get in the floor by foot :)

 

Another issue as mentioned above is that sometimes randomly it duplicates some vehicles and they appear in every floor you visit, even the floor has already 10 vehicles stored. These times you can't go out with the duplicated car. I also noticed that when it happens, the info window at the right of map says 3/6 or 4/6 garages but we have only 3. Of course everything goes ok after restarting the game.

 

I know you are working to make it the best mod ever for GTAV.For sure, every update or new option is welcome, but for me the most important is to find some places for us to be able to store real big vehicles, planes and helis as suggested by some friends above (and boats maybe?). The place doesn't matter, it's only for the 1st visit to store it, as we already have the delivery option. The rest features like modding menu, blips etc. are secondary importance. We have a lot of other ways to modify vehicles. I personally use the Simple Trainer for GTAV to mod my vehicles but also the other trainers can do that work.

Just in case other people haven't realised. Duplicate vehicles happen if you are using the persistence mod, and have those vehicles saved when storing them in the garage. They will also show on other floors. Just be sure to remove the persistence on the vehicles before exiting them in the SPG.

Thank you dear Anach for your reply but i never used persistence mod. It happens sometimes even the SPG was my only installed mod. I think it's something in the mod and it's about the duplicate Garages i mentioned above. But ok, i can live with it, it's not a real big problem, i can restart the game and everything will be ok (until mlgthatsme fix it). ;)

No heard from mlgthatsme in a while, how's it going dude? Now that we have 1.0 of scripthook, with brand new features, I am looking forward to what that shall bring :).

No worries :). It functions fine currently but yeah once every one gets on board 1.0+ then good stuff will continue to happen :D.

School always comes first man, no worries. Will it just require a recompile for 1.0 or are there other things that need to be changed? If it's just a recompile perhaps you could release the source code for us to do the recompile ourselves while we wait for your next release? :)

 

Also, you wouldn't happen to know or be able to confirm if spawning a car from or using the F5 menu breaks LUA scripts?

 

Specifically the Persistence and Fuel Script mods. A scene change (such as reloading the game or going into the garage from your mod) seems to fix this sometimes.

 

I've tried looking at logs, but none of them really show anything that would appear to be useful.

And as for the Lua breaking, I have no idea. I haven't tested it myself.

They save in the old version for me /=Me too. There are two problems though.

-Liveries don't save. They are random.

-Their names show up as their hash.

yeah the brand new vehicles should work with the current version of SPG.

 

but you won't necessarily have all the options to mod them.

and the mods/paintjob might not save.

 

they work though.

I have several of the new cars in each of my characters garages.

One feature the persistence mod has that is very handy, is that your vehicles are returned to the garage after you are no longer using them (after the 3rd vehicle used), which is much better than how the default game garages work. Will the mechanic return the vehicles to the SPG after a while; is there any tracking of vehicles done once they leave the garage, or should I use other means to retain vehicles? It would be great if SPG would interface with the Persistence mod, remove blips when in the garage automatically, so I don't have to remember and to save duplicates, and automatically enable them once outside the garage.

Ok, so it wasn't this that was breaking the LUA scripts, it was actually Szabo's Persistence Script. Appalogies for the false accusations :p

Removed the persistence script and everything seems to be working ok now.

one question, if you have a car in the garage and you take it out but you quit the game without putting it back into the garage will the car still be their (in the gargae) next time you play or will you have to make a new car?

In my experience, if you save with a car out of the garage it will be put back in the garage next time you load.

 

This is actually a handy way of putting all your cars back in the garage if you have multiple ones out and are too lazy to put them all back :p

 

Of course, it would be nice if MLGThatsMe put in a feature that would allow the mechanic to also return cars for you *wink* *wink*

In my experience, if you save with a car out of the garage it will be put back in the garage next time you load.

Not the addins, in scripts folder.

Also the SinglePlayerGarage folder as it is (with the 3 building folders inside it) in your scripts folder.

the cars dont save still in beta 0.31 it says cant access path to the spg eclipse tower file but files are in the right place
