I found that the key for mechanic was F5. Sorry for being such a noob haha. This mod is really awesome, and very stylish as well. But mostly functional; Single Player needed this big time! Thank you!

Suggestion...not sure if possible, but maybe it could be.

 

Any way to prevent the script/mechanic from every character having access to every car? I.E. I don't want trevor to be able to spawn franklyns vehicles and same with michaels, it would be good if, some how...each "floor" could be "owned" by the characters...in the same way i hope to see properties being "owned" by certain characters too, so that only that character that purchased said property or stores said vehicles in said floors has access to those cars.

 

Not a huge deal...after all, I could just role play it, but I think this feature would be awesome, especially when it comes to future versions, access to certain floors, or certain garages, or certain vehicles can only be accessed by seperate characters.

 

Not sure if this would involve a HUGE amount of code additions and checksums, but perhaps there is a simpler way to do it? Maybe seperating entire buildings off from each other would be easiest...so whoever buys eclipse towers uses those garages for that character and if you are planning two other buildings too, then each character could, for now, have there own building thus solving the issue!

 

With regards to colour icons...this goes with the above ideas, each building should have a colour assigned to whichever character is using it for there vehicles...or...allow us to choose the colours of the icons in game? i dunno.

 

Don't wanna give you tons of extra work for little reason but, just an idea and 2 I had about segregation :).

For the Vehicle Blip, you could use the white one like in Online, also you could use the Bike icon for when you are using a bike.

 

I was lurking thru the city and I found a nice warehouse where you could make the Garage for heavy vehicles, take a look:

Theres one minor detail about this place, at night, if you are close enough from the building you can hear noises of industrial machinery on the inside, giving the impression that theres people working inside. It might be a little odd to store a car at night with this noise, but I think, that geographically speaking, its perfectly placed and the warehouse looks ideal IMO.

 

I will look around for more/better places too.

 

 

Another thing, it would be cool to use the elevator in the garage. For example, if you get in the elevator, the menu of the building Floors will pop up and you can go from one floor to another (a nice little touch would be that right after you chose the floor you want to go in, the screen fades to black for a few seconds and the "tling" noise from the elevator reaching up the floor would play).

I have the 0.2 beta, but I had two cars stored in floor 1 in the first beta, and saw that someone had asked if the vehicles stored in the first beta will stay or be erased once the 0.2 beta is dropped in, so I transferred over the two XML files that I saw and they showed up, so yeah.

 

EDIT: I also just realized that I haven't touched the ScriptHookVdotNet yet, so think that might be the issue as well?

It is a more viable area for storing larger vehicles because you actually have plenty of OPEN SPACE, thus, making it a lot better to physically store larger vehicles in the area.

 

The problem with using the actual garage like you suggested is three things.

 

1) it has not actual interior behind the door, so like with the current mod, a space would need either finding or designing with a large enough interior

2) The garage door is too small to store the largest land vehicles, dump, handler, cutter and other large vehicles simply don't fit between the doors

3) The GTA:O interior for this building is again, far far too small to fit anything big inside it.

 

Garage interior are a big problem atm, hence why on page 4, you can see my list of large outdoor areas that would literally fit ANYTHING even skylift helicopters, cargo bobs and jets. So the focus, should be on these sorts of areas for larger vehicles + helicopters + jets, and smaller areas like the working garages for smaller vehicles and the majority of the rest :).

 

I'm nearly done with my compilation of all good places I've found, will upload sometime today.

SINGLE PLAYER GARAGE BETA 0.3 DOWNLOAD

Version 0.3
- Added Weazel Plaza
- Added Tinsel Towers
- Fixed numerous bugs preventing Vehicles from Spawning.
- Fixed bug when player exits a vehicle from slot 2, when slot 1 is empty, it causes a crash.
- Changed error log layout again.
- Display Vehicles are now removed (internally) when leaving the garage (Persistance mod compatibility)
- Vehicle blip hides when you're in the vehicle.
- In-Garage Los Santos Customs Overhaul (Not entirely finished though)
- If Vehicles are moved inside Garage, they are reset back to their original position.
- Script now checks every tick if a Vehicle is missing due to a spawn glitch, and tries to spawn it.
- Added Vehicle list to Floor select menu.
- Fixed plate types not saving
Known Issues:
- Vehicles that don't have a roof, have a roof when loading.

hello it is bot working i did all intructions and it wont work just like i tried with iv but like a year a go a tuning garage not working now a normal garage in v this is not working i have win 8.1 pro 64 bit all but one update i dont know if it is meaning full and i quat: "update for win 8.1 64 bit oporating systems (KB3068708)" so i got every thing needed but no icon on map nothing near the building its like therese nothing bought beta 0.3 and 0.2 still i dont know would like some help i have an update 5 v 4 crack i think maybe its not a good one i tried realoded but i was too late as it was removed from kickass.to and over hull cant seem to get it to work please help

I've noticed a lot of people telling me it doesn't work with the cracked version of the game. But sorry I can't help you.

0.3 is working fine for me, I downloaded the latest ScriptHookVDotNet I found... maybe it was the dev version? I don't know but it's working great here.

You haven't added the car mechanic driving the car to you yet, have you?

 

It's such a minor thing to do and yet it helps in immersion greatly for some reason.

Another minor bug:

Blips for exit and modding disappear if you load in the garage.

And you can't exit the garage even by driving the car.........

Switching the player and sleeping fixes it.

The thing with open spaces is that they would interfere with the visual. Cruising around the place and all of sudden seeing a bunch of big vehicles all clustered in one place, it could look odd.

And another thing, if I have stored Dumps trucks only, it would be impossible to store them w/o being all clustered and/or causing colission bugs, let alone being able to drive off the garage normally.

 

In this case, it would be better to find a wider place in country side.

 

The thing with a warehouse like the one I posted is that it doesnt need an interior, it would simulate a garage where we store our big trucks. it could have a marker in the alley entrance with a menu (like the one in mlg's trainer where it even shows a picture of the vehicle) where you could choose your vehicle, and it would spawn either in the entrance by the street or in the open space by the side of the warehouse. I think that would be more fitting and much simpler to do/code.

 

@mlg seems good! I will check it out now.
