how to shot objects in direction of aim?

So from from the "shark cannon" mod (https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/shark-cannon), it shots sharks in front of the player horizontally. How would you shot where the player is aiming?

This is what it is atm:

deadbody.ApplyForce(playerped.ForwardVector * 500);

From my nub understanding of java, im guessing forwardvector is a method of playerped that returns the general direction. Therefore is there a method that returns the aim direction?

Also how did people find these method calls?

you need to get the rotation of the gameplay camera and convert the rotation to a direction (you need to know trigonometry, gtaiv scripthookdotnet Helper class can show you how)

That's what you pass through the function, its why you get the game camera in the first place :)

 

 

You can also do this to get the position in front of the player

//This is in .NET C# but hopefully you can read it...Ped player = Game.Player.Character;Vector3 inFront = player.GetOffsetInWorldCoords(new Vector3(0, 10, 0)); // 10 units in front

As for how they find these method calls, you can see here all off the native funtions and how to use them
