GTA Free Roam Combat: Name Noob Tactics/Weaponry (Preferably explain)

This thread is pointless and a time waste for everyone. I recommended to not read the stupidity.

 

The poll is bias to get people to say yes into removing the ability of killing other players in cheap ways. If you say no then apparently you have no dignity. OP only wants people to say what he agrees with when clearly the majority think different. I agree that I feel annoyed when I killed in a disrespectful way but that's part of the game. That's part of life actually. People are disrespectful. Quit complaining and deal with it.

 

This thread should just be locked because it's mostly only a lot of negativity, arugements and disagrement.

I will stop the quote train but I agree. If the game gave me more powerful weapons I would use them. COD level airstrikes. Turrets...surface to air missiles.

The back of the Zentorno should be able to launch antiaircraft missiles.

No, it should not be "about the streets", because it has never, in 20 years of gameplay, been "about the streets". It is about going batsh*t crazy on rampages destroying sh*t. Military grade hardware is and always has been a staple of Grand Theft Auto. You think it should be something different? Play a different game, if you can find one that actually caters to that audience.

As a person who actually played the original GTA1 & GTA2 on the PSX, and then all the following GTA games to date, I agree with this.

 

 

Tank and Assualt Rifle in GTA1

 

 

Tank and Rocket Launcher in GTA2

 

Notice in GTA1 & GTA2 that there is certainly military gear/vehicles/weapons.

Not to mention you can buy one too // There no evidence against Lester, what you are saying is libelous. But as this is just a game and not real , you're ok
7. People who shoot you while you're down - The fact that I'm completely and utterly defenseless (which in most cases isn't my fault) yet you still shoot me is nothing worthy of appearing in the kill count // Helping people get up DLC incoming.
8. People use the name "Free Roam" as an excuse to play how they want - RPG's, miniguns and any other bitch tactic/weapon you just name it// erm yeah..thats Free roam, they are all items given as part of the game..this is GTA..welcome.
9. Bulletproof helmets (Especially when they pull out the sh*tty excuse that it is part of their "outfit") // oh god , at this point I am regretting even answering all these points, I don't know how you completed the originally list i really dont.
10. Assault shotgunners - Doesn't bother me that much but too much damage at ranges. It is GTA not battlefield // someone has really hurt you haven't they ? tell me their name. getting it all out might help...
11. People who drive cars in free aim while fighting - Have you no dignity? Step out and make this fun for the both of us.// So people who use weapons against you are bitches who should go play Battlefield, and people who use cars in a GTA game are bitches. Huh? How is any of the game "unfair"? Unless you're on about people hacking or glitching, then everyone has the same weapons available to them (unless you're broke, or low level). So, OP, if you're so 1337, why can't you use a Marksman rifle as well as the 9 year old that's apparently killing you? And why are you falling over in front of other players often enough to moan about being killed like that.

 

Seemingly, the OP thinks everyone in a FM lobby should walk up to him, shake his hand, and make a gentleman's agreement to only use the SNS pistol on foot. Anything else would be dishonourable and thus the work of scummy players who aren't as good at the game as the OP.

 

Naturally, in this scenario the OP would then turn around, fall over and get shot in the back by the other player for being such a clumsy b*tch.

 

I mean, seriously, stop whining like a baby. All of the stuff you've moaned about is accessible to you, so the game isn't unfair. If you're too stupid to use the available weapons and game mechanics, that's your problem. Sure, it can be annoying when somebody kills you and goes passive straight away, but even if that option wasn't available people could still kill you and immediately switch session or turn their console off.

 

This is just another dumb thread about removing a bunch of stuff from the game, and if R* pandered to the OP's wishes he'd still get killed and still moan about the game being unfair somehow. I mean, moaning about people being in a car when fighting? People in cars are easy targets, and it's not exactly easy to shoot from a car, so if anything you have the upper hand. Only reason you're always dying is probably because you're trying to knife him out of the vehicle, or tickle him with a stick, or whatever you consider to be honourable right now.

I'm afraid there isn't. The Marksman rifle is part of an Illuminati plot to ensure that all nice gamers are eliminated to ensure the survival of Mumsnet. They periodically scan R*s systems and quietly assassinate anyone who has been tracked not using the Marksman rifle using nano-bots dispersed through chemtrails, as such, we can presume that all users of the Marksman rifle are in fact pure evil.

I can't name a "noob tactic" because there's no such thing, a tactic is something you use to your advantage. But according to you, having an advantage over you is a "noob" thing. The only noob thing here is you because: bulletproof should'nt be bulletproof, weapons we've unlocked shouldn't be used, cars shouldn't be used in a game called 'grand theft AUTO'(I bet when I drive up to you and get out of my car as you ask, you'll be shooting me in the face while the exit animation is still going on), I fell and therefore I'm defenseless, but it's not my fault... yeah right, your charactar decided he was tired and it was time to lay down for a sec or what?

The military aircraft you speak about doesn't cost billion or trillions of dollars, i'ts based on the f18 and f16 wich cost $57mil and $20mil. this has nothing to do with the topic, it just prooves how wrong you are...

The marksman-rifle doesn't need less skill than any other weapon in this game, as a mather of fact, the heavy sniper does the exact same thing but uses only 1 shot to kill so the reload-time is irrelevant.

As for passive, I start out in invite only, but after doing missions the game puts me in a public lobby. So if I want to roam freely or restock without being bothered by CoD addicts I can a) use passive or b) go into the clouds to get to story mode, only to go back into the clouds to start my invite only again. guess wich one is the fastest option to do?

While I think you should be allowed to do what you want and you can, there are certain things that can be counted as "douchey" or something like that. The thing is the person who does these "douchey" things finds it fun. When you are in a tank and killing everyone or in a jet doing the same, everyone immediately doesn't want your presence and they won't like what you're doing. But the guy on the other side sitting in his tank is loving all the carnage - and I must say it is pretty fun to mess around in one.

 

But the thing is; and I consider to be a dick move when the same player keeps going for his OP item/strategy when he's killed. Usually through passive is how it plays out. This is the bullsh*t I don't like. One time me and my friends were having a sniping fight with this guy on a roof. Literally every time he was killed he'd go passive and find another roof then start sniping.

 

It's just annoying when players just keep doing the same thing over and over, this game offers so much and you're just limiting yourself by using the same weapon/vehicle over and over. It's fine if you use it once or twice especially if it's OP, but I hate seeing repetition in this game when there is so much to choose from.

 

The OP is kinda right though, weapons such as the marksman, RPG, Minigun etc take alot less skill to use than others, but without them the game would be more boring, would be less variety; it's cool to shake it up and these do just that. But when they are abused, that in my opinion is wrong; just like the tank or jets.

 

But hey, I, you or OP can't change anything. People will play how they want, even if they know they are using OP equipment or using douchey tactics such as hiding in passive mode when killed. And they will continue to do this stuff. #freewillandall

1. Marksman Rifle has fixed scope, no auto-aim, and deal less damage than normal sniper. I'd rather call the expert in this weapon as good shooter who knows how to use this weapon.

2. Use the best weapon at your disposal to take care of them without blowing the vehicle up

3. It's there for a purpose. You got pawned by Insurgent and if you still don't want to use this, then you're holding too much pride
