GTA Free Roam Combat: Name Noob Tactics/Weaponry (Preferably explain)

OP, i play on PC in free-aim, and it's even easier to take down enemies using the mouse. Damn, so you really are a butthurt. I'm so sorry to hear. Perhaps you lack in strategy and good positioning during a fight? So the only good excuse for you it's this "honor" thing to duel an enemy far west style?
Also, i find pretty ridiculous for you to be so serious about this. This is GTA, it's famous to be madness all the time, it's known that almost every player you encounter will break your lore and will be aggressive and douchy. It's KNOWN that FREE MODE it's an open war.
To fight in an open war zone that freemode is, you MUST be careful all the time to every dots that pass near you in the map, considering that an enemy can kill in an istant (even worse in auto-aim).

 

If you care so much about honor, you either go play a private session, or change game. After all the statement you made this is clearly not a game for you, you literally cant stand PvP, you can't accept the fact that somebody... SOMEHOW, killed you, even if it was a lucky kill driven by certain circumstances. Say, you are dueling with me and your character trips over a ledge, what then? I have to wait to you to get up? I don't have to take that chance or i'll lose my "honor"? As somebody mentioned A KILL IS A KILL, i dont care how you die, if i want to kill you in that specific moment, i'll take you down no matter the way (explosion, sniping, dueling, running over with car). Simply because this is GTA. Have i made myself clear?

Not directly combat related but the Realism to unrealism ratio in this game - Yeah have an impound and an insurance company but you pay a pedophile $5000 to waltz into a military base and steal a military grade, billion (probably trillion) worth piece of aircraft. I once got trounced by three guys who were just all over me. Two cars and one in a fire truck. I could barely get a shot off due to the fire hose constantly knocking me over and killing me.

 

They killed me probably three or four times to every once I killed them. Was it fair? No. Was it fun? Hell yes. It was a hell of a challenge trying to kill off that firetruck so I could get some shots in on the other two. I managed to kill it and got three of them on foot. They were good and there movement showed it.

 

Started to get some kills under my belt and then...one of them shows up in a firetruck and hoses me down again.

 

Held my hands up, jumped into passive and told them that they win this one.

 

GTA ain't fair, doesn't mean it isn't fun. And it doesn't mean that you have some sort of right to an even win or something. If you get your arse handed to you all night then that's just tough.

I've heard all these stories before from the "elite" players countless times before. I have no problem accepting a fair defeat and also can have a laugh. If you want "elite" players you should check out GTAPlayerHater on Twitter and its members. Pretty much everything I've listed apart from the Marksman is what they hate too.

You can easily get rid off a Jet **** in a buzzard. Their lack of ability to hover means that they have to circle around, and the fact that you can turn on a dime means you can easily dodge missiles. Just gun them when they fly by.

You would take that kill because you only care about winning and not the thrill of a fair fight

Pet peeves:

1. Tanks. One person grabs one, then another, then another, until all that's running around is tanks. It's a bitch move, but oh well. Not in favor of banning them, though.

All you have to do is know the buttons (which anybody can learn) and then it just depends on who can push those buttons quicker..... no skill involved. It's not even a strategy game where some skill might be required.

Just reinforced my point about the jets. The fact that people think that just because it is a game means you can be an absolute prick to anyone is senseless. I'll shoot you in the back of the head but by God I'll give you a chance when we're fighting.

So what do the "play-how-I-want" guys so when they get stripper of all little noob tactics and weaponry? The majority of the Online community plays the way they want because they can. That is why you see no one playing gun-only death matches anymore. They don't like fair fights so they don't play them. They don't adapt to it. They just keep playing free roam because in a death match they don't have their jets and tanks to grief people with. Just think about that.

 

I have adapted to the Marksman Rifle. Simply because I had to. I only fight with what I'm fought with.

Why don't you just go to invite only sessions just like me? Did you know that in these sessions there isn't all those things you've described? It would save you from bitching from now on too.

Read the post again. I never said they aren't allowed to use them. I believe they shouldn't use themand I'm trying to make at least one person in here listen to me. I wouldn't say accompanied. They're against me, not with me. What fun is killing my friends and crew members? I'm constantly trying to improve against other players. I have did that but some things you simply cannot do anything about.

Most of my GTA friends have come out of long running fights. I play with my brother, who I take great delight in randomly shooting and he returns the favour...in fact a fatal gunshot to the head is his way of saying "my turn to drive"...

 

It's a game dude, really, get over it. It's just a game, it's not even a game in free-roam, it's just play. And in GTA, if you can't shoot your friends, who can you shoot? Your enemies? Why do you expect your enemies to play the way you want them to? By definition, they're not inclined to help out much, reverse over you to see if you're okay maybe, but not help out...

 

In GTA terms, that feeling you get before jacking a car and chasing after someone in high pursuit because they just got you in a drive-by, is the dawn of friendship. But don't try to make GTA something it's not, simply because they don't want to play by the explicitly narrow ruleset you appear to want to impose that appears to come from an entirely different game where there's an almost gentlemanly agreement and formalised duels.

 

Do yourself a favour, introduce a little anarchy, upset your established order and everything becomes chaos, be an agent of chaos, and you know the thing about chaos? It's fair.

 

Or buy Battlefront.

I get what you're saying to an extent

 

But there's no need to take it personally. Most players just kill whoever they see or whoever is a block away. And yeah a lot of players love the "easy kills." Just use a Sticky Bomb or an RPG to kill em. Not very fun or creative. I love when we're both on foot, finding good hiding spots and using good guns to kill each other. (usually i get more kills) and imo it's more fun than blowing up ppls' PVs. Just sayin

Why should I not use the Marksman Rifle if we're fighting mid-range?

 

Why should I not go passive mode if I'm being attacked when I don't want to fight?

 

Why should I not shoot you while you're at your weakest state, ragdolling on the ground, which is likely your own fault?

 

Why should I not use explosives if you're hiding around the corner?

 

Why should I not use the Assault Shotgun if we're fighting close to each other?

 

Like it or not, free roam DOES mean you can do anything you want, hence FREE roam. Use a jet, call for a tank, fight someone on foot, etc. Anything goes, and you can't force a stranger to play the way you do.

Why so much hate for the marksman rifle? I hardly ever use it but I don't get why so many people complain about it especially in free aim. I could understand if the marksman rifle inflicted the same amount of damage as the heavy sniper but it doesn't in fact it's the weakest of the three sniper rifles.
