can't unlock burning heart tattoo?

Every time I try to get this tattoo, it says "must win at least 50 deathmatches" to unlock. I've won over 60 now and still can't get it. Anyone know what the deal is?

You must complete the slayer award which is 50 normal deathmatches. Team deathmatches do not count. Check your awards.

Here's another one - this dude bumped a 5 year old thread on a forum and is gonna' await a response, rather than try what he's looking for before posting. (Surely doing one or two deathmatches would trigger a jump in the Award Stat... right?)

And deathmatches are deathmatches, they're not team deathmatches. 

 

Now I'm positive they're trolling.

Never understood the point of maps being separated into Deathmatches and Team Deathmatches when you can play either in the lobby settings.

Just host a deathmatch from the options menu/R* created jobs and set it to normal and await dome competition. Granted, matchmaking can be tricky but you'll get a bite eventually.
