Suicidal grievers?

Last two times I've run into packs of free roam grievers they were crazy about commiting suicide rather than be killed, never seen it before, are they doing it to change location, or protecting their precious KD ratio? I just dont understand it... it wasn't a gag, definitely tactical I just don't know how...when the fighting got rough against the group of them they'd be commiting suicide more than once a minute. I died, a lot, they suicided... a lot.

After each kill I let the cops kill me so I can start with full hp and without cops.

you get full health, lose cops and possibly get out of a disadvantageous position.

Losing cops, getting full health, a new spot, (if the current spot is bad) didn't used to have a lot to do with K/D, or at least to me it didn't. (Still don't care about K/D)

Strategic practice. Health replenishment, no police, also a new location. I do it after almost every kill unless they've been an asshole to me. If they have once I kill them I start running to the next spawn location and spawn kill.

I see people do it a lot right after killing someone and not wanting to deal with police, but same said people will also off themselves without a second thought if they start to get surrounded. + Extra dbag points if you're a bounty.

I've done it a couple times with a bounty simply for the fact they were in armored Kurumas. It was hilarious watching them running around trying to get me when I spawned.

doing it if you want to loose cops is fine. I do it not after every kill straight away, only if the cops start to get in the way. for those who do it to get out of a disadvantage situation, seriously, fight your way out its more rewarding to get a kill or 2 from a disadvantage.

its when (so called) players do it mid battle right B4 their about to get killed. their so concerned about their all mighty K/D that they would rather look like a total unskilled try hard dbag then get killed. all you can do is laugh at them.

Killing yourself to preserve a K/D ratio or to teleport to a 'safe' position instead of just playing the game

its no tv sketch

Yes, very important tactic when you don't want the opposite to get the kill. I don't care about my kd, but I love to piss people off doing that.

Useful for losing the cops and keeping your PV. If it makes people mad as well that's just an added benefit. Inciting rage is an important tactic in itself. When players get emotional they do reckless and silly things. Suicide is contagious in a way

i'll only kill myself when there are too many cops around to even do sh*t.

preservation of K/D is for twats.

Some people need every discernible advantage when fighting. They take this sh*t waaaaaaay too seriously. There was once a time when the object of the game was to not die...

Personally, I'm going to kill you as many times as possible without dying. If that means killing you with half a life bar while avoiding cops, then so be it. Get good.

The worst is the ones who fire rpgs and immediately kill themselves lol, I only kill myself to get away from butthurt kids trying to surround me to get a cheap kill

R* should put a cooldown on the Easy Way out. Like an HOUR cooldown like the Mugging has. -_-

I slam the Report button on both their game and Live accounts when I see that sh*t. Especially if they're in full battle armor with ugly bucketheads.

That makes no sense because I promise you I've been killed back multiple times and I use this method. Just because I EWO doesn't mean I'm gonna run away after getting the kill. You have your opinion and I have mine but, I use it as a tactic.

I do that but only when I'm trying to RPG a jet. I see nothing wrong with it.

So you report people for using something legitimate in the game? Something R* put in there to get used? Why not report people glitching or modding? I hope YOU get banned for illegitimately reporting people.

There is a really simple solution to this. Make it so that using ewo counts as a death. The kill is credited to the most recent player to hit you within the last 30 seconds before its use. That way its still there to lose cops but not usable to preserve kd ratio

I agree that a suicide should count negatively toward a players K/D ratio but not credit anyone else with the kill. This would stop the griefers from using it for BS reasons and only those who used it tactically would continue to do so.

I've used it on occasion only to get rid of a 4 or 5 star wanted level because it's cheeper than calling lester.

I never use it to get out of a fight. If I want to stop fighting, I go passive.

What I would find hilarious is if R* introduced a rule where a kill within 5 seconds of a combat roll did not count. That would really piss off a lot of KD queens.

Crediting the most recent person to hit is a way of stopping ewo being used as a way to heal your self. It will still do that, but you give a kill to your opponent. So you may as well just man up and fight it out. Think of it as like assisted suicide in other shooter games. Its worked in them for years, why not gta.

"tactic" how is it a tactic , and what goal are trying to acheieve by doing it , is it just pure chance that it improves your kd , maybe you do it out of the goodness of your heart , by killing yourself your removing any emotional stress the other player may feel when faced with the reality that they have murdered someone .

Your just trying to get an unfair advantage , and is yet another method people employ that completely ruins a good fair honest fight , is as bad as using God mode or guns while passive , grow a pair and fight like a man

I commit suicide when the cops take forever to kill me during a gunfight with other players. I'm too impatient with the cops.

I generally just do it if the cops are all over me. I've seen some people kill themselves 3+ times in a row before they got a spawn they were happy with though.

Most of the time, people who do it tend to use the marksman rifle (in my experience) - they kill themselves so that they'll get the right distance away, then they'll run left and right and spam the trigger. This way the target passes over you at some point, and it's much easier for them to get a hit than if they actually stood and aimed. If they get shot once or twice, they go to the nearest corner and kill themselves.

They come in all shapes and sizes though. I even once saw someone in tank who'd kill themselves once it started smoking, then they'd get another and kill themselves once that smoked, etc. Best way to deal with that was to just get a helicopter/jet to destroy the tank too quickly for them to do it,

I find the best way to deal with suicide drama queens to to stay in vehicle or use a street bike.

They are trying to brake the battle down to a simple.. few shots then die type of scenario because of cops. But if you are in a vehicle or bike you can stay in combat with the cops constantly on you. So you use the cops against them.

That makes most of them go insane. I've had plenty of them SCREAM at me for just driving around and baiting them to shoot, which is when the cops chasing me all start start shooting at them. While i drive around and laughing everytime i see them take themselves out in the kill feed.

They really... really... really hate that.
