MEMORIAL DAY, do we get fireworks?

Wait, I am from Atlanta area... Gwinnett county to be exact, and I have never heard of or seen any fireworks that are able to explode for sale... That's the whole reason we always traveled to Alabama, Florida, or South Carolina to get them. You telling me that Walmart, of all places, actually sells them?

 

Which Walmart? Be exact, because I'm calling them to get some immediately.

 

We are talking about the same mortar style, right? A tube that you drop the mortar into and it launches up and explodes? Are you CERTAIN that it (the mortars sold at Walmart) actually explodes or does it just fizzle like the other fireworks sold do?

 

Main thing though, WHICH WALMART!? lol

 

Edit: Wow... I just did some research and found out that Georgia IS currently passing a bill (House Bill 110) to allow the sale of "bottle rockets, roman candles, and other launchers"... YES! Finally!

 

People argued against the bill saying that it was a saftey issue, but it was fought with the fact that we were going out of state anyway to get them. Driving state to state is more dangerous than shooting fireworks, apparently.

It is a day to REMEMBER the fallen. It's not called celebration day for a reason you know.

To celebrate a day like this is disrespectful of the fallen, current soldiers and their families.

 

Rockstar should impose a 1 minute silence period instead - lock out everyone for 1 minute with a message telling people to have a minute silence.

Never going to happen, but that is the more respectable thing to do.

 

There are other holidays to celebrate which would call for fireworks. For Example:

Independence day in America - The day your country became independent from colonial rule. That is cause for celebration!

Or Australia day - which marks the first British Fleet arriving in NSW

Well since we never got anything from prior memorial days, it will be the same every time. Idk why people expect them to push a DLC update on Memorial day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Halloween. Rockstar tends to cover major holidays like 4th of July, Christmas.

i feel like the fourth of july was there just so people can say 'MURICA! and thats why they went all out with the American themed stuff but 4th of july being a major holiday, just no...

@ Halal - It would have to be country specific.

The Commonwealth has Remembrance day on November 11.

Australia and New Zealand have Anzac day on April 25.

 

Of course, this will never happen as it would be a monumental task for R*.

Stick to celebrating International Holidays and most people won't be offended. MOST.
