thatstupidbug
ok folks, i played GTA V since its release (like many of you), but there's something i was never able to figure out on my own... how does the character switch works in free roam? 1) how long does it takes for a character to change clothes while you're not controlling him? I tried to dress them in in a particular way before a mission (like everyone in his underwear, or all dressed like scuba without masks), but it hardly worked, and there's always one of them who goes back to random clothes 2) does the character switching affects the "replay mission" ferature? let me explain: i started "bury the hatcher" with trevor in my gameplay. If I now switch in free roaming to michael, and then I replay "bury the hatcher", i'll start the mission as him or i'm stuck to the original version? 2) it is possible, in free roaming, to play with two or three of them at the same time? If i meet them on the street they punch me, if I set up a friendly activity the ones i'm not controlling are greyed out... Did R* really creates the fast-switching mechanic to let us use it ONLY during a pre-scripted sequences in missions? I wanted to assault fort zancudo with all three of them, switching between MFT to gain advantage... but i think it's not possible, right? I brag to be an expert GTA player, and yet I haven't figured out how the sistem works... I feel ashamed Edited May 25, 2015 by thatstupidbug
Tycek
1. It's hard to say how much time it takes them to change their clothes exactly as I simply wasn't testing it. 2. You can use switch character during the mission if the game doesn't allow that. If you started mission Bury the Hatchet you will be playing as Trevor to the moment when you have to control Micheal to shoot your way out of the cemetery. 3. You can make friend activity with both of them, but you won't be able to change your character during it. Edited May 25, 2015 by Tycek
Cutter De Blanc
1) Takes about 5 actual minutes before switching triggers a different switch scene, and usually the different switch scene changes Michael and Franklin's clothes. Only specific switch scenes will change Trevor's, such as the scooter brothers, or waking up drunk in a dress or underwear. 2) Yes, if you replay it as Michael you will start it as Michael. 3) Unfortunately, for whatever f*cking stupid reason, you cannot switch while hanging out. They really did create the fast switching mechanic to only use it during pre-scrpited sequences in missions. Luddite
Koger
They actually switch clothes instantly sometimes. I was once playing as Trevor and met Michael in traffic. I switched to Michael and then back to Trevor. He was wearing his default outfit instead of the Suburban clothes I put him in.
Cutter De Blanc
An exception rather than the rule. Sounds like a weird glitch. I know it'll change Trevor to his default outfit if you're wearing a dress, or something weird like the pink sweatclothes. Never had that happen to a regular outfit before. Koger
A similar thing happened 2 hours ago. I went to Michael's house as Trevor then switched to Michael and went outside. Switched back to Trevor then when I switched to Michael one more time he was wearing that flip-flop outfit. I had him in a grey suit. Franklin seems to always wear a wife beater when I switch to him.
