I made a few decent trades on LCN with various low-cost stocks. Nothing to brag about, maybe 50K for Frank and Trev and about 100K for Michael. Just some extra change for ammo, armor and medical bills. My strategy was always to look for the stocks that go up and down and invest when they are beginning the upswing. And then I met Dollar Pills. I bought Dollar Pills stock when it was, I was sure, bottomed out. Invested about 100K with Trev and Frank and 400K with Michael. And... nothing. The stock immediately went down another 15-20% and has been stuck that way for days. I tried advancing time, reloading... the best I could get it to do was to be at -15% at one point, and then it immediately plunges further. It's pissing me off. I'm just doing regular missions, not robbing anything or rampaging. Does the game troll people who try to stock trade - that is, it waits for you to heavily invest and then permacrashes the stock? Ive had this issue as well, specifically when trying to prevent Michaels son from robbing him blind of 200k or so when he drugs him. This is why I typically avoid investing in the stock market because as much as everyone claims the opposite. It never works in the manner that they describe. Im still convinced that its only reason for being available is for small gains and to take advantage of during the assassination missions.
