Unlinked my Social club account and voila...

Ive been having a problem for months now where i'd be in an online session and all of a sudden id get the "youve lost connection to xbox live" message. I could go any where from 5 mins to maybe 30 mins until id get this message. It seemed to happen mostly while in the middle of a mission. I thought maybe it was my router, so I bypassed the router completely, but nope it still did the same thing. I have Xfinity blast which is the highest possible internet speed for residential so I know its not that. I decided to unlink my R* Social club account and leave it unlinked and what do you know...Ive played literally for 3 hours straight with not one single disconnection. Has anyone tried doing this with success or know if this is actually an official fix to not get disconnected from xbox live during Gta online? Kinda sucks cause since its unlinked I cant play with my crew, but hey ill take playing uninterrupted for hours as apposed to disconnects every 15 mins.

Social Club accounts are known to cause problems. Restarting router always solves my problems. though. Happens during slow connections for me.

yep theres something with the socialclub...

 

i cant log into my second character if my account is linked with the socialclub, whenever i try i get stuck in the clouds with endless loading.

 

unlink account...BAAM enter with no issues, so yeah!

Yea I was unaware that Social Club was the main culprit. Thought it was on my end. I did everything under the sun to no prevail. Ive restarted my modem and router, hard reset my xbox, Dmz'd my Xbox, by passed router and even went the route of buying a whole new $100 modem...smh. So hopefully this is a permainent fix for my xbox live disconnect probs. Im just wondering now, why is it just some people and not everyone having this social club problem.

I find it funny you making a comment. You don't have any clue what part of the country this person lives, maybe Comcast is what's available where they live.

Xfinity blast is the highest tier internet serivice you can have in my area unless you are deemed a "business" in which you can get extreme 105 or 505.
