Why do people feel entitled to ride in my car?

What the hell is wrong with hitching a ride off of someone? Do people really get this touchy over whether someone rides shotgun to the objective rather than driving their own car? How does it affect you in any way? Someone is gonna have to drive there either way so surely it's more handy for someone to just ride as a passenger rather than make an unnecessary journey. Also I've never seen someone get so whiney just because someone tried driving their car. Who's to say he was just gonna drive off and leave you? Maybe he liked your car and wanted to give it a spin. Also how can a passenger be "a total c*nt" on the way to the objective? The only way I can think of is changing the radio station to one of their preference but how often is that actually a problem. I could go on and on but it's not worth it.

Some people man

Only trust-worthy players are allowed in; e.g. ones I've played a mission with before or someone on my friend's list.

I don't have a problem with people riding with me, in fact especially in missions I find it useful when they can shoot at the NPCs while I'm busy driving (or vice versa). That's also the case with helicopters. That's why I also have a Valkyrie after all, so other people can take care of the shooting while I'm busy piloting. That goes for the Buzzard too.

The only problem is if they use sticky bombs unresponsively and blow us up, but that happens pretty rarely and usually is also at least a partial fault of the driver.

The only times when I'm annoyed with having a passenge is in the heist PB setup mission - Station when stealing the Casco. When the passengers shoots someone, we get a wanted level. But in missions I don't find it to be a problem, most of the time cops don't even have any presence in missions.

Besides even if I would agree that there's enough reasons to not give someone a ride, the OP still behaves like a prick for making a B&M thread just about people TRYING to get into his car. If someone is so afraid of other people that they are afraid to catch a disease when a virtual person touches their virtual car, they shouldn't play multiplayer.

On a scale of 9/11, how butthurt are you?

Youre probably someone i left at the spawn :)

Two pages in, and he's resorted to "no u" comments already. Well, I uh. I don't even know how to respond to that. That was a grossly inappropriate response in proportion to what was said. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul you small minded person, you.

SALO or The 120 Days Of Sodom

This whole thread is filled with anti social supremacist douchebaggery.. Most of that is emitting from the OP. Quite the narcissist. I'd have no problem hitching free wins from his missions. If you want people to be your bullet sponges rather than teammates, you can at least take them to the checkpoints where the bullets need soaking up.

Unless someone is riding an armoured Kuruma and even if they are, a second person shooting off at pursuers and other enemies is good. If they do nothing, they don't matter, and shouldn't be used later on. There are annoying people who loose off gunfire and bombs into ordinary traffic, but they are rare. I use open access. If I have to pilot a transport or drive something, another player can benefit from my vehicle so the mission is failed for something stupid. Packing all the players are in one Kurama rather than four of anything, makes the mission simpler and low stress.

This thread is dumb, if the object of a mission being played with others is you need them to help you complete it, then wouldn't it be a logical choice to arrive at the location together? I'd rather have them ride in my car and have backup if it's necessary, than wait around for someone who probably didn't want to drive because they aren't good at it. Set access to "passengers" if you don't want them to drive like I do and be done with the bitching. I mean seriously, you act like it's real life and you'll never see it again if they take it, waaahh....

This makes no sense, there's no reason to not give someone a ride.

Sure there is, its called a PERSONAL vehicle.

You are a Ass. You the type of gamer nobody wants to play with ever.

Someone tried to steal my cruiser bike from me while I was in passive mode just riding around.

I always have my car set to crew/friends.

I do not let randoms in it because I do not trust them.

Solo Wing Pixy

I normally leave my doors unlocked so other players can ride with me to the objective.

THE only time I leave my doors locked is when I go and grab my aircraft that I called from Pegasus, because everyone just seems to want to throw a sticky on my ride...

Maybe you should play solo instead of being bitchy about your bullet sponges.

Common sense please.

I set it to Passengers only and only unlock on missions/heists with a goal vehicle. Like the Prison Bus, if somebody rode with me and wasn't quick enough to get in before I take off they can use my car instead of jacking a beat up cruiser.

But regardless if I'm headed to my Buzzard/Savage in a mission. It is locked completely. I'm not having an ass steal my million dollar choppers. If they follow me there and get in first, good luck. I'm leaving as soon as I see you near a tall building in my Savage.

And I set it to Nobody if the Passenger(s) are being asses and shooting at traffic to get cops on us before we even get the objective....... or the wrong team members hop in on Heists. NO! My dot is dark blue, go to the light blue dot!

No his problem is way beyond giving someone the rights to drive his car. It's giving them a ride. He's afraid of them shooting NPCs on the way to the objective because he is an unskilled driver who finds it hard as f*ck to dodge vehicles swerving slowly in traffic due to a blown tire or dead driver.

So you host/join a contact mission, but not solo so as co-op and don't want passengers even though you are both going same place? Just play solo or are you that bad at the game you can't and rely on others to do the mission for you?

My PV just got destroyed, an invite pops up for a contact mission I fancy doing join, I have no PV.
