Why do people feel entitled to ride in my car?

Can't say for missions, but in free roam I enjoy when folks jack my vehicle. It's great watching them go Mach 10 down the highway, only to be stopped, thrown out & have the car disappear before their eyes as I request it. XD

Would be cool if you could empty it while not inside the car, or if you could request it while someone else is inside it.

Edit: at least when playing missions. No experience about free roam.

Meh I'll drive ya, I'm probably better than most randoms anyway. But I see you jiggling that drivers side door and you can count stars if I don't run you down before I speed off

I don't really see a problem but I hate it when random people try entering my car. You can just lock it if you want to. Also, dude try sounding a less narcistic.

I only let them ride if they don't have a PV near by. No sense in time being wasted. Never do I allow them to drive my car unless its a heist.

Im a mission guy, and typically i run missions with randoms, not because i want to play with a team, but because i see them as bullet sponges, its nice not being the only one getting shot at.

Anyways, 9/10 times i do a mission there is at least one person with or without their PV, and that person ALWAYS runs to the drivers side of my car only to find it locked, then they go to the passengers side assuming that ill let them ride with me after i just watched them try to drive off with my car - then they have the nerve to get pissy and shoot my car as i drive away...

I dont usually let anyone ride in my car unless they are a friend, or ive done enough missions with them to know they arent a total scrublord and wont be a c*nt on the way to the objective.

So, you players who are too lazy to drive your own damn car, tell me why you feel entitled to ride in other players cars whn you undoubtedly have a garage full of chromed out zentornos with dollar sign rims.

"tell me why you feel entitled to ride in other players cars"

Because its GTA5. We're "entitled" to do anything we can get away with.

If memory serves me correctly, if no one is in the car and a random presses triangle to get in, it will usually default you to the driver's seat, unless Passengers is turned on. Don't know how many times I'd let a friend drive but i pressed triangle before they did and have to do a chinese fire drill in order to get seated properly.

I let players drive my car sometimes, they dont get too far though since it has an ignition/detonation bomb on it :)

People (Mainly low levels) do it to me all the time. I just let them. Besides, you shouldn't be all butt-hurt about it, because:

- It means your car doesn't look like sh*t.

- You can set your car acsess to no one.

- It's a car in a video game.

And what's wrong with giving other players a ride on a MISSION? You sound a complete asshole right now.

Menstrual Deranged

I admit, I almost always hop in another player's car during missions in the hopes that we arrive to the objective together. I only get in once they've gotten in the driver's seat. I've been trying to be the driver a little more often so I can practice getting around obstacles, like jumping the gate in "Titan of a Job". But when I'm a passenger, I'm nice about it. I sit there and I don't even change the radio station or anything. And I don't shoot unless I need to.

Good point about someone starting firing from the car and attracting unwanted police attention, it irks me too.

But...when I used to have slow cars and was just getting used to the PS driving controls (mostly a PC gamer) I would often hop into a more experienced player's car so that I wouldn't waste other people on the mission's time by taking too long to get to an objective, or look like a leech for arriving at the end of a massive shootout.

Sometimes the difference between locking your doors and giving a ride is an extra gunman on arrival, or having to hack without cover. Online games are social things to me, I like to meet new people and run missions with them

I will usually give someone a lift if they clearly don't have a car out for whatever reason but the second they start shooting traffic & throwing sticky bombs around I will kick them out.

My biggest gripe is people jumping in my Buzzard and taking control of the missiles. They're never going to be as accurate as the auto-lock and the worst part is you can't kick them out or do anything about it.

When I play with randoms I know I am better than them and I don't wanna drive so it is their job to transport me.

I find the game sometimes puts my PV on a bridge above me, and sometimes parks it at the objective. I can either run far enough away to call my PV, wait for it, then drive to the mission or hop in someone else's car. Also not everyone has the easymode Kuruma! I don't find childish passengers a big enough annoyance to refuse to give someone a lift! The waiting at the objective for them to arrive at the objective in a smoking civilian car is too tedious!

Off topic, OP that attitude won't make you happy long term. Sometimes calm acceptance is healthier than an angry quest for justice. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that being right isn't always the happiest choice. I'm a boring old fart though.!

All makes sense!

You can... Someone takes your car? Pull up the interaction menu, set vehicle access to "no one", then just select "request personal vehicle" (if they drove far enough away from you). Simple as that.

this thread misses the point. op states that randoms shoot at his car as he drives away. means op somehow MUST let them in. which is bs.

Motherf*ckers changing my radio station. f*cker I'm listening to Rihanna right now. If I wanted to listen to snoop dogg I would have changed the radio myself. Is this how you behave irl? Just touch another persons radio without even asking? And then you have the GALL to change the station again after I change it back to my whatever I was listening to? Such behavior will earn you a swift request to exit my vehicle. Don't care if we're 5 miles out from our objective or being chased by vagos. Find yourself another ride.

I only let randoms ride with me only in missions and/or heists.

ONLY IF:

-your car spawned far away

-my friends or crew are not in the lobby

-you get your hands off MY radio

-you refrain from firing any weapons when we aren't chased by enemies. If we are being chased, then your help is needed.

Once in FR a chrome Adder with a red dot stopped by (I was passive and with a girl character) and kept driving around me and honking until I got in. So I did and kept changing his radio station with him always turning it off. It was hilarious  At least something I could do to annoy him while he was trying to run over other people.

Amazing how much attention you get when your toon is a female innit? Back in december i had to make another toon on account of the interaction menu bug. I made my new character a female. I'd say 6 mins into the session and i was getting cat called by some older dude. gross. :bored:

I usually drive my Insurgent and encourage others to get in so we can arrive at the objective at the same time and can concentrate our firepower. I get very annoyed when everyone gets in their own supercars and bikes and then run into each other as they struggle to race to the objective only to get picked off one by one. This is doubly true for things like heists where the mission only progresses once all players reach the objective.

I can imagine the day OP turns 16 and can drive a real car, and then someone goes near his car and he starts crying.

Buddy, it's a car in a game. Calm down.

When I drive someone else's car, I always ask first and I only do it if it's a car I wanna try out. I share cash from last job for being kind and letting me take it for a spin. You're just an asshole who needs to be a bit kinder considering it's a car in a video game.

I will let randoms in my car for missions. I will let crew members and friends inside in free roam. Some of my friends are allowed to drive my cars. But, if you touch the radio or smash out the passenger window, you are getting ditched wherever it is whether it be LS Customs or the runway of Fort Zancudo. I hate having the radio on in my cars and unless we are being chased by merryweather or someone else who wants to kill me, we don't need an SMG out the window.

The OP makes valid points IMO but he or she is going about them in the wrong way.
