Why do people feel entitled to ride in my car?

Im a mission guy, and typically i run missions with randoms, not because i want to play with a team, but because i see them as bullet sponges, its nice not being the only one getting shot at.

 

Anyways, 9/10 times i do a mission there is at least one person with or without their PV, and that person ALWAYS runs to the drivers side of my car only to find it locked, then they go to the passengers side assuming that ill let them ride with me after i just watched them try to drive off with my car - then they have the nerve to get pissy and shoot my car as i drive away...

 

I dont usually let anyone ride in my car unless they are a friend, or ive done enough missions with them to know they arent a total scrublord and wont be a c*nt on the way to the objective.

 

So, you players who are too lazy to drive your own damn car, tell me why you feel entitled to ride in other players cars whn you undoubtedly have a garage full of chromed out zentornos with dollar sign rims.

Usually when I do it though, it's because I want somebody else to drive because my attention is divided.

More often than not, they will end up shooting at traffic, making it THAT much harder to get to the objective, or they will throw explosives out like candy at a parade netting you 3 stars on a cop-sensitive mission when you just spent 3-5 minutes losing your previous wanted level. Tell me thats not annoying as f*ck and your a damned lie.

This is weird because I always ride in my own car unless theres a specific reason to all go together. I just prefer driving, and have no problem taking passengers. But just today I had someone get raging pissy at me because I DIDNT want to be a passenger in their car and took my own. Started snapping at me about him not being good enough for me.. weird. Everyone has their quirks I guess.

If your doors are locked and they cant get in already. Why does it matter? Sometimes people dont feel like driving, if they cant get in with you then they'll drive. I honestly wanna know what fueled the need to make this thread, because i get what your saying it happens to me. They get mad shoot at your car n thats pretty much all that happens, nothing more. But why a thread about it?

I'm fine with people riding with me or even driving it sometimes, Aslong you don't steal my car and drive away and later complain about me "not just taking a random car instead" when we fail because you left me.

I can see why you'd dislike this but I don't understand why you're brushing this off as some sort of spam/stupid thread. It's a real issue in GTA:O: everyone playing that game is a c*nt and they will act like an immature child when your car door is locked.

 

Having no PV is understandable. They might be too poor to own one or it just blew up and haven't called it in yet. With the flood of new players, I'm not surprised to give rides to others. I always set it to Passengers so they can ride in but whenever I'm busy with the mission, they'll sometimes steal my car but unable to drive it. I'll then get a "Your PV has been destroyed" message. I've stopped using my normal PV vehicles for missions, only using the Insurgent. That way they'll have to waste a bunch of ammo to destroy it as well as paying 16K for the insurance. The plus is that people run towards it for a free ride. The negative side is that there's a lot of lazy people who don't want to drive and the Insurgent can comfortably sit most, if not all, players. *sigh* Nothing makes you feel like a team player when you're the one driving everywhere and the others don't even bother shooting enemies chasing us.

Basically OP is one of those annoying randoms who are reasons why I don't play missions with randoms. I'll much rather play by myself than with some pissy old farts that get bitchy for any reason or no reason.

I'm always happy when someone takes a ride with me. If I'm not in the mood for driving and someone locks their car and drives away from me, I know they are an ass.

Sometimes if I see a nice car, I'll try to ride wth someone as a form of a compliment. Or at least try.

I only turn off access to other players if I'm on a bike. When passengers start shooting causing traffic to go nuts, it isn't a big deal and most of the time pretty funny. When they get us a wanted level, I'll just hide until it's gone. They have to wait too. If they do it again, I just kick them out.
