I was in a lobby once with someone using all the tricks - god mode, teleporting etc. After I was unable to kill him I sent him a derogatory text, then he appeared by me and about 10 or 12 armoured van money bags appeared on the floor. Being cautious, I figured "best not" and switched sessions. He sent me psn message calling me a pussy - he was right, next time I will fill my boots.

Aha that's pennies compared to what i got hit with....I was passive and afk for a few minutes i was standing fairly close to a wall and i come back to find a money with a mini-gun shooting at me and before i realized it i was up to 18 million...before i could leave the lobby...

 

Don't know if i'm going to buy Adder Bonds or make a 2nd character then delete it with all the money with it.

Ive heard that R* take more serious action against modded/hacked sh*t rather than glitched cash... Thought maybe they ran a check, flagging accounts associated with it (in any way). Obviously not....

You won't even trigger R*'s robot till you deposit more than $500K in your bank in one shot. Even then, that only flags you - if you have a 'normal' amount of cash (ie not billions) it pretty much ends there. You have to be doing something wrong yourself before they'll take action.

 

I wouldn't sweat getting the money, nor would I regret avoiding more. That $200K is free and clear if you say nothing to R* about it.

 

If you do tell them, they'll just remove it and that will be that.

You think $18 million is a lot to receive while AFK!? How about my quick story...

 

I got onto a ledge and went passive, so I could go make a sandwich in the kitchen. I only had a little over $2 million in my bank. I was only gone for less than 5 minutes, but when I returned, I noticed I had around $166 million in cash along with the $2 million I had in the bank. No one was around me and no one would admit to doing it when I started questioning.

 

Anyway, that was about a month ago. I still have the $ (minus about $10 million) and it's still in cash.
