Just picked up hacked cash. What now?

Ok, so i was just shot with a money-bag gun and accidentally picked up about 200k. The street was filled with bags, but i managed to get away from them, only to get shot (with money) by the hacker.
Is the cash traceable for rockstar? Am i likely to get banned? I couldnt escape the money i picked up...

The balance is not to worry about. R* owe me for a fully upgraded gauntlet that went to hell because of the recent duplication glitch (where cars placed in one garage, replaced a vehicle in another).

You tell R* what happened, they'll dock it. You don't, NOTHING will happen.

What annoys me is the constant stream of messages I get in free mode lobbies asking "r u a hacker/modder" - "can u giv me $".

 

I f*cking hate beggars. I just say "sure, give me a minute" lay some mines then tell them to come on over.

If your online experience has been anything like mine over the past week, take it as compensation for not being able to join jobs/failed to join session and being kicked to single player. Happens to me nearly everytime now. I do a few jobs, then when I select a job from the phone or menu I get that failed to join message. Had to amuse myself with some rare PVP which I normally avoid.

 

Only modders I encounter have pink hydras and chrome limos

the other there was a modder going around in a spacedocker shooting bags of money around.

 

my last experience with modded money were months ago.

 

1-landed in a lobby, everybody was inside a apartment, i receive an Apartment invite, when i spawn there there was this stripper dancing around an invisible pole, then started to drop red packages worth 2k each. i left with like 80k that day.

 

2-im heading to my apartment at eclipse tower and came across a female character walking around dropping money out of her ass, i picked up a couple stacks and moved on. got like 9k that day.

 

3-after a long battle i was driving away, i see this lonely level 20 in passive walking, i tell him to get in my car, he want me to drop him near tinsel tower, so i did. next thing you know he says "thank you" and 20k drop on top of me.

Ive heard that R* take more serious action against modded/hacked sh*t rather than glitched cash... Thought maybe they ran a check, flagging accounts associated with it (in any way). Obviously not....

... Seems like i shouldve picked up more bags then...

I was in the same boat not too long ago... except I was on passive & afk when the modder shot me with about a million (I think, we had just finished some heists so it may be less).

Now modders are apparently taking money so it should all even out in the end. IMO (now that I may have benefited) R* should punish the modders not the freeroamers that have to deal with them through good times and bad times.
