Impossible to play a mission with other players; very bad sessions&#33

It takes me LITERALLY HOURS to find players (any players whatsoever, which means helplessly compromising with low levels and non-English speakers) who are willing to join my mission. I open all options, enable auto-invite and in addition to that manually invite each and every player in every option available.

 

The sessions are the big issue here. It many times logs me onto an empty session, then when I try to connect to a different session after some loading time it says it lost connection and annoyingly returns me to GTA V single player. In the few rare occasions that it does manage to re-connect and to a session with players instead of solo (even though I didn't choose solo from first place), I find myself in a session with no more than 8 players maximum, then it's the same with looking for hours for people to join my missions. Why is the sessions system so problematic? Why not just allow a dozens of players on one session?

Have you checked NAT settings? If it's anything but OPEN, you're going to have issues like the ones you're describing. Also, platform?
