GrindingOnDatNRG
I downloaded an app today that let's me listen to Police radios! I have become a bit addicted to it hahaha not really but it's fun as hell to listen to what's going on. I can also tune into other countries. I'm from Australia and the ones I get and have been listening to are the NSW Police and Western Victoria Police Radio transmissions. Is this illegal? Has anyone else done this? I find it really interesting and am fascinated by it. Anyone have stories to share or anything? I have a few from just today! Thanks!
sivispacem
It depends on your location. It's illegal in quite a lot of places in Europe but I think it varies from state to state in the US. Straypuft
In most US states, it is only illegal to listen in on police scanners if you are in the process of committing a crime GrindingOnDatNRG
Flachbau
I used to have an app on iOS (from what I can remember, the app had a blue background maybe and then had the police radio in the foreground). I only listened in on holidays like Memorial Day, Christmas, etc. That's usually when a lot of people get caught doing stupid crimes. Other than that, I would only listen in to either fire or police departments if there's a major incident going on. GrindingOnDatNRG
Ai®a©ob®a
If you want to listen to a lot of action calls listen to the Memphis Police Dept in Memphis TN. GrindingOnDatNRG
Man-Django
I use Zello which is a walkie-talkie app, for either 1on1 or group chats. There's a few emergency groups on it... must be cheaper than radios as the apps free. The Glasgow channel is a laugh... GrindingOnDatNRG
