Biira99
I watched the newest episode. There's not much discussion on the Internet about this series. I personally like it and I avoid spoilers. I know it's based on a series of books and that they should conclude it in the next episode. My question is (and please avoid spoilers), are the show and the books "faithful" to each other, or are there many differences? Zello
The ending of this week's episode reminded me so much of those city builder games. Edited July 17, 2015 by Zello

Guest Billy Russo
This has been the most surprising show of the year for me. It's one of those shows I thought I'd enjoy, but wouldn't be too crazy about before it started airing. But I just never expected it to go in the direction it has. Such a memorable show, and I'm gutted it's ending in the next episode. I hope there's a Season 2. Not been a new show in quite a while, except Mr. Robot that has managed to pull me in so much and be so gripping. Matt Dillon has really surprised me, I never was that big on him to be perfectly honest, he wasn't all that memorable to me. I didn't remember him from much, maybe except Something About Mary, so seeing him in this has just shown him in a completely different light for me. I have a feeling I should look through his films again, didn't expect him to be good in this at all. The last episode was one of my favourites by far: Theresa finding out about that underground bunker, and discovering all of the tapes was so awesome. I got literal chills, seeing the disbelief on Kate's face. It was such a great moment, couldn't possibly be any more exciting at this point. Also, that scene in the Station was brutal as hell, and I loved it. When Harold got shot, holy sh*t. Edited July 18, 2015 by Billy Russo
Guest Billy Russo
f*cking FOX. There won't be a Season 2 of this sadly. *sigh* I was alright with it being a Mini-Series until it started to be real f*cking good. Ah well, at least I'll remember it as being one hell of a memorable series. Might be a blessing in disguise anyways, if Season 2 couldn't have lived up to what the 1st one had achieved. I thought M Night Shyamalan came out awhile ago and said there was never plans for second season.
Girish
It was advertised as a 10 episode mini series but they were thinking about a second season. Apparently, the ratings were not good enough to justify a second season which is weird because this was, hands down, some of the best television I've ever watched. Slightly disappointed with the ending though. A couple of things didn't make sense. Why did they go back to worshiping David Pilcher? What happened to Pam, Theresa and rest of the survivors? Weren't they supposed to be running Wayward Pines now?
Zello
Just saw the last episode on some site and the ending was pretty weird I was kinda dissapointed how Ethan died I wanted him to get into a showdown with Pilcher get all philosophical and sh*t but I guess they decided to go all Mass Effect 3 on us and the stuff with the first generation at the end was pretty confusing but I found it funny at the same time but it leaves a lot of unanswered questions I enjoyed this mini series a lot what am I gonna do now that it's over Edited July 23, 2015 by Zello
Raavi
Why did they go back to worshiping David Pilcher? What happened to Pam, Theresa and rest of the survivors? Weren't they supposed to be running Wayward Pines now? They left too few cues for it to makes sense. Whilst they did show that the first generation had a stockpile of weapons and food at the end, it doesn't even begin to explain how they did manage to enter the mountain (Ethan blew up the elevator eliminating the bunker entrance as a possibility and the outside was swarmed by Abbies). Let alone how two dozen or so "First Generation" insurgent kids managed to overpower and "freeze" what easily were 50-100+ adults, that by virtue of being in the mountain would have had access to the main armoury in the mountain. Not even mentioning the whole Pam and Theresa sorting their sh*t out bit. Felt like a sloppy wrap-up. – overeducated wonk who fetishises compromise
Tacymist
I was never expecting a second season anyway since they said it was going to be a 10 episode event. But it's a little disappointing finding out there could have been a season 2, but they decided not to because of ratings. Fox are a bunch of pussies. Anyway I haven't seen the final episode yet, it'll come on tonight anyway so I don't mind waiting a few hours.

They had a stockpile of food in the bunker/ark which means they could easily survive there for a good few months. Remember Pilcher mentioned that the abbies migrate during the winter and his plan was to rebuild Wayward Pines then. I assume the first generation knew this and they just bid their time inside the ark. That's the only part that makes sense to me.
Biira99
I loved this show. The last episode was the best for me, although I was disappointed by the ending. I was hoping Ethan would survive, and I totally hated the "first generation" leader. He should have been eaten by an abbie Edited July 24, 2015 by Biira99
westsxde
there's not gonna be a season 2??hopefully Netflix or HBO pick it up. they cannot just end it like that. so disappointing. why did they kill Ethan off? thats so terrible.
Zello
They should have ended it like it in the books from what I hear from it, the way it ends in book 3 sounds way better ah well...

Girish
I found the second season to be alright. Nowhere near the high standards set by the first season but that was kind of expected. I went in with average expectations and wasn't too disappointed. Jason Patric's character as Dr. Yedlin was too bland for my liking though. Not sure if a third season is worth it but I won't mind it.
