KyojinEM
It introduced a real first person view Ok Gta III actually did it before Gta V But i think this will be a refreshing thing in the future , what do you think ?
Niko Montana
Although I didn't mind using first person in vehicles, but the whole point of GTA is that it was third person, something that separates the series from most games these days. Also I can't help but think that it was added to please the COD fanboys that have shifted to GTA V. Pump Action Pimp
First person just frustrates me. It feels off. I don't know what it is. I should probably mess with the settings and see if it gets any better. JamRock7
donnits
It's really clunky and doesn't fit the game at all. It's works better when driving, but i'd still much rather third person. Rockstar has two choices now. Work on first person heavily, to make it work better, risking their established third person roots - or, just ditch the first person mode, at least just the on-foot version. I go with the latter. donnits
I feel like we're very low in FPV when in a car. I think we should be sitting a bit higher. It's more of a hunched over position. Too low, and too close to the wheel. The guy should sit straight, he might hurt himself. But yeah, the FP mode is clunky overall, it just works a little better when driving. I still prefer third person at all times. Pump Action Pimp

Osho
For console players I guess, you could say its still a good thing to,have, but for me, its definitely not a game changer in any way. I thought it would also come with additional improvements, mainly, enhanced A.I and combat tactics, but it feels just an alternative to third person for all the graphics whoring with no interesting benefits ( excluding ONLINE ) for the single player experience. I think, they wasted a lot of time on the FPV and instead should have addressed the needs of improving and patching the core game using the extra juice out of the hardware. Son of Zeus
Yeah, V did something to the series....it split the fanbase and got the CoD type crowd into GTA. Niko Montana, Tycek, B Dawg and 4 others

universetwisters
I'd be pretty dissapointed if the next GTA had a first person view. GTA wasn't intended to be a first person game, so the first person view got very clunky. That and the copy/paste car interiors, shifty gun details, and so forth, it just seems more unappealing than appealing. tranceking26 and Niko Montana
TheOneLibertonian
FPV was quite refreshing, but it didn't brought anything to the table to be honest. FPV was just clunky and the FOV is just too short. If Rockstar are going to implement First Person then, implement it only on vehicles. Car interiors were cool, but make each interior unique to each specific car. Rockstar can do that on advanced hardware and possibly a new version of RAGE. GamesBoy316
Grand Theft Auto is meant to be a third person series, not first person. Also, I hope Rockstar doesn't have their whole focus with online later on, what about Singleplayer?
PhillBellic
I only hope that the FPV is only contained to this game. I feel that it doesn't offer anything new to the overall game. Payne Killer and gunziness
Pump Action Pimp
See I disagree with people saying it shouldn't exist in the next GTA game, because if it did, it would be well refined. They crapped this FPV out in a year. Flip side is, that's time that could be put elsewhere. So I'm torn.
SuperGTFan
I have been trying to master gtaseriesvideos skills with the FPV by trying to complete certain missions gold medal's objectives all at once in a single playthrough using FPV, but damn, those guys are really professionals , and I think FPV should be kept JUST for GTA V and it's DLC, to make it completely different from the past gta games. matajuegos01
I like the FPV option, I hope they add it in the next game but more polished. It helps me get immersed in the game world and if they add more interiors even better!!!
thatstupidbug
"gta has always been top down! now they made it 3d to please the "Driver" fanbase!" seriously, as long as the FPV isn't REQUIRED, who cares? it's an awesome bonus feature, it helps the immersion in the atmosphere of the game, and can create some funny moments (like rolling down an hill in FPV). it has some problems here and there, but overall it should be left in the following installments... now, half-refilling lifebar, on the other hand... matajuegos01, The Dedito Gae, Hover_Mode and 1 other
DaWiesel
I cannot believe to say this, but I really like the FPV. And that is coming from someone who always thought it would ruin the series but it's quiet the opposite, really. I use it on foot only though, rarely when in a vehicle unless it's a bike. Seriously, bike riding in FPV is fantastic. I don't know what's the problem in having it in the game, it's not like you can't play in third person view anymore. HaythamKenway
Quoting Yahtzee is my favorite pastime. The one new gameplay feature introduced for the PC and next-gen versions, in order to make it more feel like a remastering than a port, and therefore worth blowing another 70 f_cking bucks on, is a first person mode. So, if you're having trouble figuring out where is the guy shooting you from, see if you do any better with your field of view reduced by about 45 degrees. And when half the screen is taken up by brickwork, when you finally manage to persuade your character to take cover in a firefight. But wait! Apparently, there is a special money bonus if you complete all of the heists entirely in first person mode. That's right peeps, it's a gameplay feature so great, they have to bribe you to use it. In short, I wouldn't shed a single tear if it never shows up again.
happygrowls
I like it, it makes the game feel more immersive than the older versions of GTA V. I'd like to see it return yea, but improved heavily for Rockstar's first attempt at a proper FPS 7/10.

Irrational
I always said "no" to FPV, it's also very hard for me to like an FPS game, when it came out for the PC, I only used it to explore the interior of the vehicles, nothing else, I will always play in 3rd person view. On the other hand, I do know that there are people who wanted it and/or liked it, so they should keep it/improve it in future installments. SuperGTFan
One thing I like about FPV in GTA V, is the sound of the Rapid GT engine during high speed chases in LS with 5 wanted stars and the dynamic score Rich Man's Plaything (Legal Trouble version) in the background playing and a Thunder raining weather going on. I wished that Ending C was like that, chasing Steve Haines all over the San Andreas highway's, good thing we can do it in A and B, f*cking badass moments, so yeah, there are great things about the FPV in GTA V. I bet PC players would disagree. FPV + keyboard and mouse = precision that speeds up gun fights exponentially. Makes the game feel much more fast paced and frantic. No more running out from cover and soaking up bullets, because any player can get an instant head shot with any gun now.
