Nope.

For me it's:

1. Red Dead Redemption

2. GTA San Andreas

3. Mafia 1

4. Midnight Club 2

5. Midnight Club LA

6. Mafia 2

7. GTA 5

GTA will never be in my top 5 if it never gets its matchmaking fixed, along with it's extremely annoying car physics. If I so much as scrape my car (lightly) off of a lampost or another car while powersliding my car starts doing 360's, WTF!, this is beyond stupid.

It will also never be better than any of their other games because it had so much potential to be something else, but, they left out so much content that could've been implemented and by doing so they stopped it from reaching it's maximum potential. They missed out things like, going to the gym and gaining/losing weight, basketball, tagging, lowriders and hydraulics (it's Los Santos, ie LA, so lowriders and hydros should've been in since the beginning) and gambling.

GTA 5 was overrated since it's first announcement, period.

The Mafia games were not made by Rockstar.

First of all, I have to say that I'm against any kind of libel. Saddens me that this forum, as much as many else, plunges into it constantly.

OP, no offense, but you're throwing to the air your own preferences and opinions and consider them as facts. You should add "In my opinion", or "I think...". Seems as if your love to this game have blinded you.

V has flaws, like other games in the franchise.

Next up is IV, and Oh my GOSH is that game boring, i liked the story but V beat it by FAR.

I think, and I'm pretty sure, that most of GTA fans would agree that IV's plot was better, deeper, and had a better protagonist than V's. 3 Players as aforementioned do not leave enough room for a proper character development per player, and in general. Not to mention that I disliked its so many antagonists, which in same case of the protagonists, are too many and too shallow.

BECAUSE, Niko doesn't really have as much in depth character as Michael, but i still liked him alittle bit.

OK, that's your opinion, but I think you're a minority here as well. Niko had a storyline which revolves around him, and him alone. He had a powerful conscience. He was gritty and mostly a foreigner, allowing many players worldwide to have sympathy. Michael had some interesting features, being a family man, but he also lacks depth to me. He said it himself - "I'm rich, I'm miserable. I'm pretty average to this town" - Sums it up well for me. Sure, He's a likeable character, but to me he doesn't feel like a classic, genuine GTA protagonist.

In IV there was also a too long campaign, it took me MONTHS to beat it, and it was so hard and confusing GEESH.

IV story was long. Usually it's considered a good thing. The longer the storyline, the better. Here, I think that R* have emphasized Online too much, on the expense of the SP. V felt relatively shorter to me. I'm pretty sure most gamers would prefer a long, ongoing plot than a short one. ( Although V's isn't short...it's just, shorter...)

Also, in IV multiplayer to have fun you needed to create your own fun which killed it moreso.

Quite a confusing statement, I must add mate. In GTA, fun, generally comes with the players, it's not something that comes out of the blue, and its not a given. Actually, I don't know how to answer this.

But, I can say that, as much as I like GTA Online, I dislike its ranking system, and many other stuff. IV's MP was much, much simpler. Not climbing up ranks, no unlockables, no intricacies, just pure gameplay. Join and play.

The thrust is, that I would be stating the obvious by saying I prefer IV of all R*'s games. And that's my point here. All of us have different opinions. You can agree or disagree. Sure, it's nice to find people who like what you like, but it's fine if not. You can't volunteer everyone as your 'yaysayers' like in this sentence:

i know we ALL KNOW V is R*s best title yet

Please add phrases that would showcase your thoughts, rather than stating facts while they're not.

Have a good day man. :)

RDR and LA Noir are my favorites. Can't decide between GTAIV or V though. The story of IV was better in my opinion, V felt cluttered with three protagonists. And LC is more interesting a place than LS.

Only two Rockstar games I've ever played are RDR and GTA V/GTA:O.

Let me put it this way: I didn't need an online mode to sink more hours in RDR than GTA V. My PS3 is/was in a position where it can't get internet anymore, so when RDR came out, all I played was SP.

If all I had in GTA V was SP mode, I would've quit playing it when I beat it in January of this year. Thank God I got it on PS4 though, because it really is a great game. RDR was better though. Loved the Western setting, loved the characters way more than the ones in V, loved the story, loved the freeroaming, loved the gambling, the horse taming, the hunting, and everything about it.

RDR is set in 1980's

No. Set in the 1910s. Year 1911 to be exact.

Um..... No i remember it was set in the slavery era and that was 1980's.

No. The slavery era was 1619 to 1865.

I'm wrong

Yes, you are wrong.

1980's were the LBJ days right?

No. LBJ was a Space Race era US President. Ronald Regan was an 80s President.

Best against other games? No.

Best against other Rockstar's games? Also no.

My WOW only lasted a few days and story was too rushed at some point. TLAD still got the best story to me. Short, but huge impact.

A lot more than your timing is off..
what else is off?

Your whole outlook on life.

Turn the game off for a sec, go outside, talk to people. GIRLS even (yes, those scary alien like creatures you see every now and then) and work on your social anxiety/issues. It'll help you much better in the long run. Plus you're not gonna get a (as you said) "bangin hot wife" unless you actualy... try at something other than GTA. Oh, and unless you get 1-2 million views per video on YouTube, you're not gonna make any more than the average minimum wage.

Go back to College/University mate, it'll help you so much more in the long run, and you'll have a higher chance of actually making good money. Who knows? You might meet that special someone there too.

________________________________

Anyway, OT:

1) Story wise- I felt that V was too short. Yeah Michael's a pretty good character, but the rest are a bit.. meh. IV had pretty good development of all characters. As did RDR, holy sh*t that game was a masterpiece. Bully had great character development too. But if you wanna see an example of a good story go play The Last of Us (even though it's not an R* game) it's an amazing story.

2) Customization. Character customization is a bit... meh. Online it's great, but in SP, not so much. I mean Michael can't wear hats and only really suits, trevor has almost no clothing options (he has about 30 shirts and 30 pants, total) and Franklin didn't have much at all. Hell even Midnight Club LA had more car and character customization than V.

I don't think V is the best. It's close, but it's not the best. To be honest, it was a little overhyped.

Remember though, it's just a game. If you're basing your entire life off of a videogame, then you need help.
