Who else agrees GTA 5 is better than Any other R* Game

I don't know about GTA V being the best game Rockstar ever made. You gotta think about their other titles too. Look at San Andreas, which is personally my favorite, then the other games in the series, look at Red Dead Redemption, look at Bully, look at LA Noire, and all their other games. GTA V has it's flaws, some aren't even fixed yet.

Do you mind naming all of V's flaws because i only encounter RARE connection issues? I normally can play V all day in my parents basement and have no problem

WHAT? I played Gay Tony and TLAD and they both were WORST than the original IV. If anything they were under-developed and lacked content. Did they have LS CUSTOMS? Did they have a barbor shop? Did they let you have a mechanic? Did they let you pick your clothing?

I played tbogt and tlad a few months before V released (when tlad and tbogt originally launched i was too young to play) and those two games bored me to absolute DEATH. I would rather stare at paint dry for 8hours or play loading screen simulator

gay tony had clubs and wayyy better music. they had better weapons and cars. the story was superior than v's story. as for mini games there was dancing and club management as well as drug wars. plus since it was using iv system there was more interiors and i could of gone to restaurants. it was funny story and I would replay that than V's story.

 

when u played v's story you didn't feel a connection with the 3 main stars. gay Tony you felt a connection with luis lopez as he deals with tony prince drama that he got wrapped in to and proved that he was true friend who would risk his life for him.

 

hell if they remastered gay tony that would be the most played by the story it self. if gta online adds liberty city or a gay tony esq dlc that would beat the main story hands down

No IV story was boring, it led nowhere and kinda left you hanging. And it was so complicated and long. RDR doesn't have half the stuff V has. Like cars, rims, hair shop, M4's, etc etc.

 

 

V story was Absolutely Amazing i even cryed at the end of the C ending. The journey was amazing and felt like i could relate to each character. V story took you into the hard struggle of Frank and mike' it beat iv's by far.

 

 

Niko took on like 1,000 people, IV was so unrealistic and made no sense. Hence why R* had trevor kill johhny because Trevor is the REAL F'n DEAL

1: In Story Mode, the story is a bit short. 3 characters sharing 69 missions isn't a good idea, therefore it leads to less character development.

2: The cops in this game are unrealistic and not fun.

3: Less cheat codes. Look at San Andreas, that game is 10 years old and it has a lot more cheat codes to have fun with.

4: Not a lot of activities to do. Don't tell me doing Yoga and playing Darts all day is fun. Bowling is more fun.

5: Not a lot of interiors to enter. San Andreas had a lot more.

6: Character customization doesn't have a lot of features.

7: Where's the other weapons like the chainsaw and the flamethrower?

8: No jetpack.

9: No gambling

 

 

There's more, but these came at the top of my head. Like I said, graphics don't make a game. Also, Niko is unrealistic? What the f*ck? How do you explain Trevor then?

I think the story in gta 5 is trash compared to IV, i don't understand what they tried to do whit it, Is it supposed to be funny? I think gta IV story is one of the best in video game history, the only game I have played that had a better story was Fallout 3.. IV story was breath taking and it really made you care for the characters in it. Do you remember that mission when Roman gets kidnapped? During that mission it almost felt like i was saving my own cousin, there was no such moment in V story.. I have replayed IV story many times but V only one time and when i upgraded to ps4 I only played through the first mission so that i could play online.. Maybe it's unfair to compare them this way since the are so different but in my opining gta v story is nothing compared to IV.

I know IV was missing a lot of things like a car mod shop and a flyable plane but I really loved the city and the "feel" of the game, the darker and more dramatic feel. Gta V is nothing without gta online... If it weren't for online I would not have put 1400 hours in to it. (I apologize for any bad English)

 

So if I were to rank my favorite R* creations, I would rank them like this:

Gta IV

Gta SA

Rdr

Gta V

San Andreas was the best GTA, but I think Vice City had the best story mode. In tears of Rockstar's best game, I'll say Red Dead Redemption. LA Noire is one of my personal favorites too.

GTA5 or GTAO OP?

I think GTA5 is a brilliant game and apart from vice city it's the best fun game R* has made.(They all have their merits for greatness btw lol)

GTAO on the other hand is definately not the best,yes it's addictive, but it's time consuming for all the wrong reasons. (waiting/loading/error times are just too long.) Fun it is not. (by design anyhow.) We can try and have fun on it but it's clear R*'s agenda for online gameplay is if we are playing they want paying instead of well you know making a game for the end user i.e the gamer.
Does GTAO have the potential to be R*'s best game? sure but it needs to give it's priorities list a major reshuffle, add dedicated servers instead of p2p crap and listen to the players instead of the shareholders unsustainable percentage share being the final say in decisions. When thats done then yes I'll say it's R*'s best game so far.

 

(If it was GTA5 you actually meant and not GTAO then your on the wrong forum btw)

I usually have an issue with people that keep saying SA-MP is all high and mighty when it's not.

Answer these: Does GTA V have it where you can gain/lose weight, muscle, stamina, respect, have sex appeal? Can you buy safe houses in the game? Does the game have hydraulics? Does the game have a lot of myths? Does the game have gore? I'm not talking about missions either, I'm talking about free mode. In the story, besides the heists, and the ending, does the game have it where you have to make decisions? Such as killing certain characters or what to do? Does the game have a purple dildo? Does it have a jetpack? Can you gamble?

 

The point I'm saying is you have to do your research next time. You and this thread are making me stupid.

Each game has its own merits and ranking for various reasons.

 

SA, best game of its time, so much content that it could easily take you away from linear style of play and truly allow one to role play and dive into real sandbox gaming.

 

RDR, by far one of R*'s best game graphic wise. The detail was incredible and the story line was pretty good ( not to mention RDR NM ) A little less sandbox play but still offered some fun alternative gaming. The game mechanics were/are pretty damn good too. The horses are outstanding and move with ease. Very well done. As for the online content, could have been a little more to it, but still very fun none the less.

 

GTA V, love this game. Although not as much content as SA, still has a very familiar feel to it and I am right at home in Los Santos. They improved greatly apon GTA IV and took it to a whole new level with V.

 

I am very pleased with playing R* games....asking me to pick a favorite is like asking a parent to pick a favorite child....you love them all in their own special way.

Do you understand how difficult 3d modeling and graphic design is? V makes up for those missing features with heists, graphics, GROWING ONLINE etc etc.

And to those saying V isn't anything without online: V story mode takes you down into LS, remember when Michael's family was taken? I felt like i was rescuing my own family. It felt like i HAD TO. And if I didn't i felt guilty. And GTA Online is the best online game I've EVER PLAYED. It caters to each genre of players. It has racing, shooting range, darts and BANK ROBBING. Now you tell me if that's bad. R* cares about it's players which is why they crac down on money glitches to secure their economy.

Wrong, V MADE THE CONNECTION. You saw how trevor went looking for mike after the jewelry store heist? That was TRUE friendship. In V you can Take all characters out as once, in IV luis and tony was just a long boring story no offence. V has Yoga, which is better than walking around in a club doing ABSOLUTE NOTHING. And Darts is better than driving to a destination and back to a safehouse. i don't even remember TBOGT having drug wars.
