GTA V crashing suddenly

I've been playing the game fine for about a week, but now for some reason it's randomly crashing about 10-20 minutes in. Are there any ways to find out what's causing it, and how to fix it? it's quite a puzzle as to why it was working fine and now crashes heavily.
