An issue with replacing texture files, I need help!

I edited the textures of the lazer and I did everything right, I assume.

 

Everytime I replace the files in the vehicles.rpf, that is located in patchday3ng/dlc.rpf, and start the game, the launcher simply starts downloading the .rpf again. am I doing something wrong?
