How to edit the rate of fire on GTA 5 guns

Hey guys, I don't know how to edit the rate of fire on GTA 5 guns using OpenIV. I seen a bunch of mods with increased rate of fire but it always have something like slower muzzle velocity.

You should look for a thing called "TimeBetweenShots" I believe ;)

Extract the weapons.meta to any place (folder/desktop).

Open it in Notepad++ or any other .xml editor.

Use CTRL+F and search for "TimeBetweenShots". It is in milliseconds so I guess smaller numbers means higher rate of fire.

Can you make a modified weapons.meta for me? I tried what you told me to do and I don't see any difference

Hmm I cannot do it right now, but I will see what I can do :) Which weapon(s) did you want to increase firerate on?

Carbine, Assault, Advanced Rifle, MG, and Combat MG

How do you edit rate of fire for a rocket launcher? I've tried everything, timebetweenshots 0, 0.1, clipsize 500, reloadtime 0, and nothing seems to work. He still reloads before every shot, even with infinite ammo/no reload.

I tried messing with that, it made it so he only fires one rocket then he never reloads and it won't shoot again.

Figured it out, you need to change the animation speed aswell wich can be found in weaponsanimations.meta

 

The parameters you need to change are

 

AnimFireRateModifier

AnimBlindFireRateModifier
Example for the Micro SMG.
