Nice update! I really like the new clothes.

This kind of looks like Two And A Half Men, if only Michael didn't have the beard and glasses and Niko had a white/blue bowling shirt.

 

 

Haha, finally someone who noticed it! :p I actually wanted to remove the beard and glasses but i had the "npc duplication" bug in Rockstar Editor :/

Due to massive amounts of work on a wiki for a FiveM server I've working on, I don't have anything to show for now.

Their texture was pretty bad. Suuuper low quality, not to mention they also had normals of scars / scabs / tattoos on them.

Niko now runs as a new ped entirely. This means he can utilize helmets and sh*t and does not replace mp_m_niko_01 anymore. More news on this soon.

Been testing Niko thoroughly and he's completely stable. Can anyone think of anything I should add the the DLC build before releasing?

If someone could point me in the direction of some proper mapping documentation / ysc editing tools I'd gladly get to work on it.

 

 

Buuuuuuuuut, since I see a lack of the two (and the lack of 3ds Max tools for V) I'm sorta stuck unless I wanna start researching things like crazy. :p

The Niko replace Trevor mod does not feature this but is there anyway to be trevor, toggle to Niko and then magically some of that good sh*t would happen?

 

I have experience with modding and so on but I'm really week when it comes to GTA 5 in particular so please excuse me if I'm wrong in any way.

Beyond eyes moving, no.

 

Niko can replace Trevor but facial animations are not possible due to Trevor using visemes_hi (high priority facial animations) and Niko uses vismes_lo (low priority facial animations).

 

Niko's model likely had ped facial bones instead of complex facial bones like M/F/T.

Well, now I see how some of it works at least. So, is there any way to give your Niko ped the appropriate visemes_hi files?

What would we need from the OpenIV team to make this possible?

That makes sense. So we would need "advanced" modeling and animation support to make that possible. Right?

Not possible yet since there are no skinning tools. V uses the same visemes system as IV.

My best example would be Niko's animations or ped animations on IV. They're similar, but don't work on unsupporting characters.

^^ Same animation - different visemes type. Hi is better detailed, Lo is lower detailed. Niko does not support lo, only hi. Peds (excluding certain modded ones) support lo, not hi.

I found a typo in the changelog: "2.6.3 (1/13/15)" Should be "2.6.3 (1/13/16)"*
