Yep, Rockstar have made Niko look dumb in Gta V. Although thx for explanation.

 

How so? They look pretty similar - if not pretty much the same.

Left is IV. Right is V. His face was changed in favor of making his key features easier to recreate with the Online character's face because of the face meshing system. Having an exact dupe of his face would not work, and generally doesn't fit with V's art style.

Alrigth then, fair enough.

 

I can't for the life of me so which one looks better, though, lol.

His face template is changed, so no. :S

 

I may port his original face one day as an alternate option.

So how many polygons do Trevor, Michael and Franklin have? I am supposing that more the polygons => More better the texture and resemblance.

Polygons only effect the geometry (mesh) of the said character, not the texture.

 

  • player_zero (Michael) - 7,886 Polygons and 4,335 Vertices.
  • player_one (Franklin) - 8,384 Polygons and 4,644 Vertices.
  • player_two (Trevor) - 8,276 Polygons and 4,464 Vertices.

Well, maybe I'm overreacting. I mean the game at least has tessellation feature. The question is if it is applied to Niko's face and jacket model.

Aw, crap, then what is it used for? Chrome and shiny rims on that pedestrian's car? Bullets inside that other guy's gun? Come on, Rockstar, you know where it is required the most! you did such a great job in Max Payne 3, and somehow you managed to not ruin everything with patches afterwards! Why does there always have to be a totally illogical decision which ruins everything else?

But if NG had the money for a few short lines - he might be able to do it. Hell, he's not getting much work recently anyway.

His contract would probably forbid him doing any more lines as Niko Bellic, as does Young Maylay's with CJ.

Dont cheap out on the chloroform - sometimes the worse brands can block the nasal passage, I've heard.
