So we have a yft editing coming soon? :O Nice. Now all we need is the ability to edit ymt files. Could you be able to make a program like this that would do that? Would be amazing.

@Neodyium, I'd like to have yft support for these files = GTA V/x64c.rpf/levels/gta5/props/commercial/v_fastfood.rpf

 

There are a lot of .yft's in there, that are used in several interiors, for example, the player homes, but also the shops around los santos, and even the vending machines (theyre in another rpf though)

 

Would be so awesome if you could add this feature!! Your tool is amazing :)

Edit .yft function is very useful, the texture on the building can be eidted right now. :D

 

Next step, Can you make the software open the drag file?

I mean drag a file into software and then it will be opened.

 

And the align function also been needed.

Click taps, then the files can be aligned follow the order.

It works! LOL

These are banners around the church.

It belongs "kt1_06_banner_01.yft".

Now, I can finally change it!

I have a question about .yft of vehicle file.

Does there any textures been merged into vehicle .yft file?

 

Because, I am working on a plane, Shamal.yft and shamal.ytd.

I've changed the texture in the shamal.ytd, and I could see the changing by OpenIV.

Please check below image, image 1.

 

But in the game, the plane didn't change. it is very strange. Because the Jet has been changed as you can see in the below image, image 3-4.

So, I'm thinking that if there's texture in this shamal.yft or not.

Im pretty sure there is a Shamal+hi.ytd because you need to change that texture too if your texture is on high or very high settings.

Indeed, there's a Shamal+hi.ytd file. But, there's no body texture of plane in that file. :(

I have the same problem . One month of trying and do not understand .

I changed crest kuruma with Mitsubishi and in open iv seen applied in YFT file .

In game but no! You can still see the old coat of arms !

I've done this procedure to other cars and to work .. Instead kuruma no! Why ???

Guys, please look through all the texture files in the update folder!!!

Most of thhe vehicles got reworks in the update folder and those files are loaded by the game ;)

you should check the ydd or ydr file of cops, the texture maybe been merged into the model file itself.

That is the problem, cops models don't have embedded textures. The most disturbing thing is there are plenty texture mods all there and the installation instructions usually are: Replace "s_f_y_cop 01.ytd" in the "x64v.rpf' and thats it!

 

There is a mod called "Harley Quinn 2.0" to replace Tracey's textures, but no matter what the modified textures don't appear in game. I can even delete the textures from x64e.rpf and the game still loads the original textures. Really weird!

Use OpenIV Instead they are all the same since OpenIV Has Texure editing now.

Did you try to find your files out of x64e ? With the updates, you have some files selected by the game out of x64e, x64v...

Try update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday2ng\ (etc.) or patchday3ng...

For tanker (trailer), I tried vehicles file in x64v rpf, but nothing happened. To change something ingame I found it in patchday2ng. There is the same vehicles file, but just with files updated. You have the same files for cops clothes, but I'm not on my PC, I don't remember the path :(

How do you convert .DDS to .YTD using OpenIV? I've tried using Texture Toolkit but as soon as I try to load the .DDS it instantly crashes - on two separate Win 7 PC's

Some normal maps from .ydd textures seem to come out as just pure black when exported. They appear fine in the preview, but they just don't export properly.

Strange, I tried editing the walk of fame textures i.e. hw1_rd_stars1.ydr, and yet the game refuses to load upon shoving in the new YDR. I am using Nvidia's texture tools on Photoshop CS6.

 

EDIT: NVM, it works now. Seems like rebuilding the RPFs did the trick. Also, for some reason the modded archives won't load with the Virtual File System mod.

Hey all- I tried to change the flames on the Daemon to like fish scales, saved it all as dds and used the same resolution, imported it back via OIV, but now my game won't even launch, keeps going on about corrupt data and wrong game versions and such. Any help would be so so appreciated <3

Hve even tried using openIV's texture editor, which i think workes using png now instead of dds,(tried importing daemon_spec.dds in but nothing happened) but crashes on loading screen:(
