The problem for me is that I can't exactly check which part I'm changing, it's just wild guessing as there's no model viewer.

Atleast I don't want to use OpenIV and edit my files, will there be a way that I can see my texture in a different model viewer?

atm i dont think so,what do you mean you dont use open iv to edit your files lol no other way to so,and btw you can see textures on things like

weapons

I don't use OpenIV, I use the mounting feature of FiveM. I don't want to corrupt my files with some other .asi file that OpenIV provides because that's not what I want.

Hey guys, this may be a dum question, i used OPENIV, so i have the latest open.asi

i created a tshirt for franklin, it work great, still does. now im trying to edit a texture for the buffelo sport S (with srpunk livery)

as far as i can tell, im doing everything right, saving the dds as the correct files, DXT5 and DXT1 for some other stuff. But i can never ever get the game to load, always self updates because the patchday1ng DLC.rpf has gone corrupt after i rebuild the archive and start GTAV. anyone out there have a solution? cheers.

So did v22 fix the crashing? I reverted back from v20 to v18 since it was causing crashes for me.

So nice tool!!!!!!

Finally, I can edit ytd file from GTA5.

One suggestion: have you consider to put an icon for your great tool? It's looks not so good, right now. :santa:

how can i improve the textures of my mods?

when i go to the game the image that i put in a t-shirt is worse than the image into photoshop and i don't know how to fix it

Doesn't work for me, I'm on Windows 8.

I can load a ytd file but it doesn't display the textures on the right and I can't import or export files.

Here are my files dude :

http://www.mediafire.com/download/rhwx4x73pqv6l6c/pounder_hi.ytd

http://www.mediafire.com/download/9vxdi1w2frndo1b/pounder.ytd

And yeah, I also can see them in both Texture Toolkit and OpenIV

Just spawn a pounder in the game and get away from it while you look at it to make it crash

Indeed, I get the same error when I use your files. But when I open and save the files with the current version of the tool (150522-Preview) it seems to work fine.

And @all that get a zlib error: If your texture quality is set to "very high" try to change it to high and try again.

I can confirm ! It works like a charm now, thank you !

Yeah the last version of the tools also managed (it seems, needs more testing) to fix my crashing issues when editing attachment textures.

Which is a really, really good news.

Interesting. Though i'm waiting for the inclusion of such a feature in OpenIV. I don't see myself releasing a mod and telling people to install YET another thing on top of OpenIV.

But great work anyway, thanks for it.

you will be waiting a while.

Why was the OP banned? Is this tool forbidden to use?

Apparently he was linked to a dupe account, although it turns out it was a mistake. He should be unbanned soon.

Are you using the current version (150522)? There was a bug in an older version that could lead to crash. Please check that. If u used an older version, just load and save the file with the current version.

when I replace GTA V/x64c.rpf/levels/gta5/props/commercial/v_fastfood.rpf/v_ret_247_bread1.ydr to a custom texture, it does apply in openiv browser, but not in-game. This goes for ALL second-hand items (items displayed in multiple interiors)

Please look into this!

Here is why I;m interested in changing it: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/real-brands-project

try looking for the file in multiple directories, for instance within the update folder. because i believe a few models and things have been updated so they are also in the update folder similar to this mod iv made for the futo. i have to replace the file in 3 different directories. https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/futo-side-vinyl-hks

I know my friend, but ive been looking for hours, definetely they are not in another rpf. There's only one bread.ydr, but there is a v_ret_247shelves_01.Yft, I think this .YFT overwrites it or something?

I uploaded a new version with support for embedded texture in drawable dictionary files (*.ydd)

Nice! Will you be adding .yft support as well? :)

Man, I dont know how install this. Do I have to put all the newest files on the previous version? Cos this version doesnt have an .exe file.

If that isnt what I have to do, tell me how to install it, beacuse the game keep crashing. This is what happens. I have a cracked version of GTA. So I replaced some files of the male multiplayer skin. One jacket and one shirt. When I try to select them with the Native Trainer, the game freezes. This doesnt happen if I select the textures quickly. Please help me.

What are the YDD files supposed to contain and what is their purpose? I opened three different .ydd files to see what they have and they have some random names and 0 under textures.

I can read/write maybe 80% of yft by now. I will check whether they contain enough textures such that adding yft support makes sense.

Just download the zip-file from the first post and unpack it. There is an exe.

ydd are drawable dictionaries. They contain multiple drawable files (ydr). The random names you see are hashes of the name. The name is not inside the file so the tool simply don't know it. And since containing textures is optional for drawable files, there are often 0 textures.
