NinjaCat Posted January 8, 2003 Share Posted January 8, 2003 Hey guys, I figured out something the other day and I figured I'd share the wealth. I noticed that it's hard to ram through the gate at the army base while riding the PCJ. So I tried experimenting with different ways to get through/under/over/around it. I have found the bulletproof way to do it. Get up some speed from across the street or turn into the gate with speed if you are good, and dismount the bike a split second before you hit the gate. You will duck down and slip under and your bike should make it through with you. Hope this helps everyone a bit, I know I'm always riding down the the base to pick up a hunter. NinjaCat out. The problem with that is your bike is damaged and you end up not too close to teh gate and the bike may or may not break the gate and it could slide under to the other side without you. I was just trying to point something out, not to enlighten everyone as to the one true way of entering the Army Base. I described it as "Bulletproof" meaning that it always works, like saying a car has a "bulletproof" engine. This statement has nothing to do whatsoever with people shooting at you once inside the Base. Feel free to wear whatever you want. The only concern of mine in my original post was clearing the gate unscathed. If you dismount right before impact with the gate (Now, I am talking about the pole that goes across the entrance to the base. If you thought I was talking about the fence surrounding the base, please help everyone out by trying to swallow your own tounge.), you will clear the gate and so will your bike. Last time I checked, this wasn't a grammar message board, it was about GTA. Maybe you'll learn about synonyms in High school little buddy. And once again, why does everyone seem to miss the point of my post? I discovered this trick to get into the base WITH THE F***ING BIKE! I know there are other ways to get in... "why don't you just smash the gate?" "use a helicopter!" and "did you know there's an apache in the army base!?!" are not appropriate responses. I just wanted to let evreyone know that you can duck under the damned gate by tapping triangle right before you hit it. I don't happen to drive the cars in GTA much anymore, mainly becasue the bikes are about 20 times more fun to ride around and do tricks with. I thought to myself, "Hey, self, maybe other people often ride a PCJ down to the Army base and have problems getting through the gate. Maybe they'd like to know about my trick!" Did any of you flamers care to notice my topic title? I figured that maybe, you know, some people might appreciate this little tidbit of info, because, you know, it may come in handy sometime. It is a slightly less obvious thing that many gamers may not have known about, hence, me trying to inform people. If you nitwits really need to respond to everything with nothing other than the totally obvious, fine. Just talk to yourself though, and please spare everyone else on this board the grief. Yeah, well, that takes too long. I'm going for quickquickquick here people. My trick takes about 4 seconds total, from dismount to remounting the bike. Out. I have a method of my own, which can be performed by hitting the open side of the gate (the side that has a bit of a gap between itself and the little gaurd house) at medium speed and crouching behind the bike's windscreen (Pushing the left stick up a little bit) and you can usually get through that way. NinjaCat out. if you go to the police centre in Vice Point, then go inside too the left, catch an police suit and then you can go to the army! Also you can catch the army-helicopter!! Its very cool.
