Mainstream listening, non-musical forum moderator needs a good banning

First this imbecile twat named: sivispacem locks the drum and bass topic, when dnb has been around long before he was even born.

 

To make people post dnb music in a general "edm" topic is like parking a Lamborghini in the middle of a pile of wrecked Honda Civics and saying "it's all the same car".

 

Then he locks the "Grime Topic" and classifies it as "RAP". The most hilarious thing I find about this kid is that he's wearing a British Flag on his profile. All of the music topics he is banning /locking is mostly British Music! Something is seriously wrong with this guy.

 

Any topic related to mainstream music never gets locked. Hell, they can even post topics talking about just 1 sh*tty rock band and it doesn't get locked.

 

This forum IS going to have a DNB topic and IS going to have a Grime topic whether you like it or not.

 

90% of the threads I see posted here could easily be locked and thrown into another topic but they never are.

 

Go ahead and lock this too. I know you will. Just be aware that your prejudice, lack of knowledge and poor forum moderating is being observed.

Not that I disagree with the whole 'separate classifications of music' thing, but I hardly think that Siv or any moderator is going to be intimidated by someone who decides to talk sh*t behind the cover of a new account.They can easily find out who you are, and when that happens...

They will do absolutely nothing - or at worst a temp-ban like for that guy that thought he would be cool talking sh*t about Siv using Morse code, as if it were Ancient Mayan or suchlike.

Now we've got that settled, let's address your concerns. Firstly, starting a plea for something seldom works when the third and fourth words are "imbecile twat"; if you want to endear people to your cause it's not the best way of going about it. Whilst we're on the subject of endearing people to your cause, sounding like petulant little child making idiotic statements like

One- sh*t analogy.

Two- it's not a general "edm" topic, it's a general "electronic music" topic.

 

It's also the place where people have been posting DnB since, oh, about 2007. I'm pretty sure I posted a couple of tracks off Black Sun Empire's 'Lights and Wires' and probably some Panacea or Limewax in there. I mean, DnB is, like a whole myriad of other things that are happily lumped into the electronic music top without their advocated throwing massive bawling hissy-fits, subgenres of wider electronic music. I love a good pigeon-holing, but subgenre threads usually die a death (go browse back through the last 10 or so pages of Music subforum threads to see this) and quite frankly I don't see the point in them. That said, I'd have probably let your initial one slide (off the front page of the forum) had you not triple posted in it. The next one was locked due to your petulance and general sh*tty attitude. Rinse, repeat.

I'd contest that, though DnB is definitely British in its origin, the sheer number of different artists from all round the world preclude it from being "British music" in this instance. Besides, all the best artists are Northern, Central and Eastern European anyway.

I struggle to see how DnB is anything other than "mainstream" these days given how prolific it is as a genre, but whatever. Anyway, as I've already explained, I'd have probably let your topic slide into obscurity had you not triple posted in it.
