This looks really interesting - however I'm not too keen on the increased damage, I think the damage you take is already balanced in line - what is the multiplier in your mod? do we die after 3 pistol shots? also a version with special abilities still working would be nice for some people

Player Output damage is just under twice as effective (1.9). Player health is simply axed in half down to 50. So a bullet doesn't do more damage to you just less bullets hits to kill. Armour is required.

That sounds cool. I really like the concept of this idea, the hud changes are definately the best features by the way, I thought of something like that as soon as I started playing the game.....huge-ass radars while you're on foot are just so immersion breaking. Gonna play some time with it and see if it's my kind of deal.

Great mod. I was waiting for a mod like this, thanks kaytotes.

Is it possible to add an option to enable or disable the auto health recovery ?

I'll look into it.

Just released 0.1d with slightly easier config btw.

This mod would go well with Realistic Handling, Fuel, Working Restaurants, and Law Enforcement Fix.

Do you plan on introducing a hunger system?

I really like your mod. The idea of having the radar go away when you're just walking around on foot is a small but genius one. I've made some modifications to your mod, I figured I'd tell you what they were and you could consider it feedback.

-I felt 45 seconds made more sense as an underwater breathing time. It's still somewhat realistic and honestly a higher lung capacity doesn't really give you any kind of gameplay advantage, it just makes the game more fun because you can actually look around underwater.

-Suggestion: I saw one guy made a mobile radio mod that put on headphones when you enabled it, maybe there's a way you could do something similar with an item to help breathe underwater and just get rid of the limit.

-I don't think there's really anything wrong with the damage values and player health as it is. Headshots still kill and one of the issues with the game is that the cops are a little bit too good at murderin', and this is especially obvious when you have no cop blips, which I think is a fine tradeoff. I like the idea of needing armor, but unless there's an easier way to get it then it just becomes a chore to find armor all the time. The real issue is that armor just doesn't help enough. Personally I'd like to see a mod where armor is something like 10x more effective than it currently is. I'm also curious if it matters where you physically get shot in regards to armor.

-Suggestion: I know that the game is capable of detecting whether you are falling, I wonder if there's a way to freeze your armor value while airborne so that you only lose armor when you get shot.

-I wasn't a fan of the health and armor display. I thought the different colors were a bit distracting, I would keep it white to be consistent with the rest of the UI. I also feel that Font 7 would be a better pick as it matches the font of the money display which makes everything a bit more visually consistent in my opinion.

-Suggestion: Some gameplay method of reactivating cop blips temporarily. I would say the phone but that's a bit janky. I like not having the cop blips, but I also like the idea of having the capability of going back to vanilla behavior so that I don't feel disadvantaged from a gameplay perspective, which is why I love that the radar comes up when you bring up the phone. I think a good tradeoff would be that whatever you are doing to get the blips back makes you unable to move until you deactivate it.

-Suggestion: I noticed nobody has made a LUA version of a mobile radio mod. I added the following code to the mod, though I haven't properly tested if the cutscene thing works or not:

	-- Enable Mobile Radio	if(CUTSCENE.IS_CUTSCENE_PLAYING() == false)then	        AUDIO.SET_MOBILE_RADIO_ENABLED_DURING_GAMEPLAY(true)	else		AUDIO.SET_MOBILE_RADIO_ENABLED_DURING_GAMEPLAY(false)	end

@ssnakesbandana: It sounds to me that you are unaware of scuba diving being in the single player of this game. I thought that I'd let you know that when you have scuba gear, you can remain under water for as long as you like. You can scuba dive when you buy the dock on the west side of the map. You get scuba gear by exiting the Dinghy or the Submarine that spawns there. In GTA Online, you can purchase rebreathers, which give you a lot of time to explore underwater outside a submarine.

Do you plan on introducing a hunger system?

Yes, Hunger is planned eventually. Though that will be a large task.

I personally do play with the Fuel Mod, Working Restaurants alongside Crime & Police Rebalance.

Originally the Oxygen rate was going to be 50 but I lowered it as I wasn't sure it felt right. I like 45 seconds. Will up it in the next build.

I believe a LUA Mobile Radio is already on gta5-mods since I use it myself. Would be very simple to add but I definitely would like to have a headphone model display to rationalise the mobile radio. Currently I'm unsure of things like model ID's or even how I would attach it to the player.

I'll take all of the above into consideration.

I'll take all of the above into consideration.

In one of my gym classes in High School, we did kayaking, and one of the things we had to do was roll the boat over and hold our breath for 60 seconds. I could do it, but at 60, I was desperate to resurface. So in the mod, you could do 60 seconds. Maybe a few more.

Edit: Another thing you could try is making being drunk more realistic. You could do the following.

-Moving fast or away from a wall has a possibility that the player may fall down.

-It gradually wears off based on in game hours. (No matter how fast they pass.

Regarding in game hours. It could have 4 settings.

-Regular time passage.

-Realistic time passage.

-Sync with the system.

-Same time it is in Los Angeles, California.

Another idea is requiring sleep, sorta like Bully. And heck, if you wanted, you could script a dream mini game or something if you wanted to get creative.

I was indeed unaware of this! Only about 60% through singleplayer. Thanks for the heads up!

Really nice mod, specially HUD on car only but is there a way to disable the health and armor overlay? I'm using this with another mod which only shows you the health and armor bar when they change(you get shot, health regenerates, etc)which I prefer to a numeric overlay.

Thanks!

Not a simple toggle but if you wanted you could simply remove any line that starts with ImpGTA.Write

EDIT: Keep an eye out for 0.2c
