Anda7x
Is possible to change the intensity of motion blur in visualsettings.dat located in update.rpf>common>data but you need open iv 2.
LordofGTA
They should reduce the blur on the road, it look like the car is floating. But in general it looks awesome.
Lethal Vaccine
You know what does NOT remind me of IV? When Franklin didn't even hit that car very hard and went flying out of the windshield. Surprised he didn't die. If Niko was going that fast in IV in ANY Vehicle you would of NOT flown out the windshield... The flying out of the windshield thing is so god damn inconsistent on this game it's not even funny. Thalyn
I know, it's a test and from a edited video, but this kind of motion blur isn't very nice, so artificial (just on the foreground). The motion blur must be tested for the first person view (in third person view, this "NFS motion blur" is pretty useless except to create some FX for a video). And like this, i agree with EvilDog, it looks like a PS3 version (so artificial, totally unrealistic). In First person view, the motion blur (must be) is more important (blur quantity) and visible from our (character/eyes) sides. In Third party view, the motion blur (must be) is less important (blur quantity) because we (player) have a larger field of view, and then slightly visible only on the sides of the camera. EvilDog77
Ugh. Looks like the PS3 version all over again. In what aspect? It just reminds me of the awful frame-blending I had to endure when playing the PS3 version at 30FPS. I have a 144hz monitor and usually get about 70-90 FPS on my rig so I'm rather spoiled in this regard. Motion blur looks pretty but it's one of those things I instantly disable in all my games because it limits my all-round visibility and reduces my situational awareness. Just my personal view. zbt
Well motion blur is also a sh*tty way to cover imperfections in games, such as low frame rate, draw distance etc. It's also one of the sh*ttiest feature they brought in gaming, because you're actually the one making the actions in a video game, so you don't need the game to dictate where the blur should occur. You experience blur naturally, so the best thing to do is to remove it and have a clear scene when you play, you don't need an extra layer of it. Not only that it lowers your performance and also adds input lag... I also have a 144hz monitor, because I missed the motion clarity of 120hz CRT from years ago, back then everyone looked for zero blur solutions, nowadays it's a feature in games... HOWEVER blur and DoF are very good for movies, so using them in videos where people are SPECTATORS only is good. JennyC6
CAn we not? Motion blur in video games looks like crap, is distracting, and in general adds absolutely nothing to the game. Yup. I found myself using the simple native trainer in IV more for the seatbelt functionality than I did anything else. I'd like to just outright turn it off.
